As you see they are husbund and wife. He was going to club (dance houses and spent time with dancer and had drinks). So she is singing to stay home and she will do like those dancer and will take drink or two (usually Indian women don't drink). Let me know if you need more explanation. This video is my favorite also and the movie is great too. If you get chance pls see the movie, you will enjoy it and understand the video much better.

Sqahib Bibi Gulam never got the credit it should have ever got. This is probably because it was already a very famous novel by Sarat chandra chattopadhay... and it was already made into a bengali film before Gurudutt decided to make it in hindi...
