  • Mr. Frampton,

I would like to thank you for creating these sounds that have touched deep into my soul and beyond. You have gave me inspiration to create not only music but to also, express myself in ways words couldn't do justice. thank you once again, one of your millions of fans!!

  • An amazing story, Frampton's solo albums were really going nowhere until "Frampton Comes alive" was released in 1976, and it just TOOK OFF! I remember being so stunned how fast he became a global superstar almost overnight!

  • What a performance!!! I remember watching this LIVE on TV and was blown away!

  • What a great time in history to be growing up...the seventies...particularly when Frampton Comes Alive was peaking....I don't want to wax nostalgic too much.....but if you're from, say 51 to 61 years old, you'll know exactly what I mean.....talk about full-tilt-boogie??? the party NEVER STOPPED....and.all sex=no worry (AIDS)...people treated each other differently////great drugs!!! real acid and cheap pot....always remember:"If you can't be with the one you love honey...love the one you're with"

  • You have to be completely retarded to dislike this.

  • a very blessed man

  • This is a great song ,clearly his best. But his best work was playing with Humble Pie.

    I dont need no doctor.

  • @jmac5058 see youtube vids for Humple Pie, Rockin the Filmore!!!

  • Amazing great Track

  • Awesome!!! Maybe nickelback and other shit bands like that should watch and learn

  • "Everybody in the world has Frampton Comes Alive. If you lived in the suburbs you were issued it"

  • They don't make 'em like that anymore

  • Wow. That was awesome!!!

  • So glad my dad introduced me to this. My advice to all dads and mums, expose your children to music like this. I'm 19 now and I couldn't tell you any musical artist from today but I sure could tell you loads from the 60's and 70's. This is real music.

  • @iLLUSiiONS111 Same story here!

  • I was on a road trip in America and a live version of this song came on the radio, I'd never heard this song before and when the solo started I nearly fuckin crashed.....one of the greatest solos I'd ever heard!!!! Just so much "feeling" in it, motherfucker could play, and America has the best radio stations.....I'm from Australia and you would never here this stuff....not with real instruments anyway

  • @lonard38 America has some awesome rock stations, even in the smallest towns you can pick up a great classic rock playlist.... thanks for saying this instead of bashin us " evil Americans" ! lol

  • Is that the guitar that was found after 30 years or something

  • @ezbaseball97 No. What happened was he loaned it to Tommy from Eight is Enough and Tommy lost it in a canoeing accident that landed it in The Land of the Lost.

  • True Rock Star

  • @wurstuk You mean Uma Thurman looks like Peter?

  • @Stryder94 ;)

  • Great simple song,as a great vehicle for Soloing'ing in Dm[the saddest key-Spinal Tap-remember?] I loved this when I was 11[when FCA came out] and I still appreciate it for what it is today.Again THIS has NEVER been shown on Australian Television[what a surprise.....NOT]So so much Live Rock the rest of the world got to see on TV was NEVER shown in Australia! Oh yeah we got the same WORN OUT scratchy copy[I kid U not!] of "Song Remains The Same"[which I love]but, that was it,and it was worn out!

  • That wasthe good ol' days. This song lit my whole world on fire...

  • Reminds me of smokin' everything possible, ..tea,. thought it was elephant pot when I was 13. Got wise and went to the park and scored nickel bags of 4 percent mexican. Older and wiser now.

  • Peter Frampton has got to be the MOST UNDERRATED Guitarist, does anyone rember his start in Humble Pie? ROCK ON!!!!!!

  • @MrMegaFredzeppelin Bullshit. He's actually most the most OVERrated guitarists alive.

  • im gonna like this before i even listen

  • 96 people feel like shit.

  • Mischievous, fun, AMAZING GENIUS !!!!

  • The energy he gives off is so amazing i cant help but start smiling every time i see this show, I fucking love 8:00 - 8:20

  • STOP THE NDAA BILL GHOST!

  • I thought I was real rock and roll when I heard this for the first time...I think I was 12 lol...this is true rock of the ages...God bless you Peter :)

  • TW01SB3TT3RTH3N0N3 is a dork, how i know? dorks have massive YouTube names.

  • The range of notes he goes through and the clarity of his guitar play on this track is amazing.Just as good and better than most of the so- called great guitarists.

  • everyone who comments is old, how i know? old people write massive comments -_-

  • Frampton just recently reunited with this very guitar [a 1954 Les Paul custom]...after 30 plus years and an airplane accident that killed a few persons..."must have been a dream...c'mon...lets do it again!"

  • Thanks for this full high-quality version! This does show what an amazingly talented musician he was. The range of skills shown in this one number is stunning. It's easy to miss the fact that Frampton's decent into alchoholism for many years took him out of the game just when his image would have matured like Clapton's did. It ruined him during what would have been his most productive years, not to mention causing his loving gf Penny to leave him. Very glad he is back in circulation again.

  • Jimi Hendrix ain't got nothing on Peter Frampton!!

  • Why is the crowd so freaking dead in this video???! CHEER YOU FREAKS!!!!

  • @ThatRipOff ...no doubt...get off your duffs folks!

  • He has said that he resents the rolling stone picture of him without a shirt because it turned him into a teen idol and took away his credibility. That`s probably why nobody really remembers him as a great guitarist.

  • His SHIT is PINK!!!!

  • @flyingmerkel6 You are right on the money. Frampton was considered "chick rock" back in the 70s. It was Page Clapton Beck all the way for REAL guitarists.. The problem for Frampton was he was way too good looking and too much of a complete "package" for the marketing department to resist. Girls would take Frampton Comes Alive and open up the album and tack it to their walls like a poster. Truth is, he shouldn't be descriminated against because of genetics. He didn't ask to be born adorable.

  • Saw him at the Fillmore San Francisco. He still loves to get the audience involved. Throwing key chain fobs into the audience. Great showman.

  • 06:29 the raised eyebrow thing always make me laugh. this dude probably still gets mad groupies

  • Amen

  • Why Peter Frampton is almost never mentioned in the same breath as Eric Clapton,Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck,Jimi Hendrix,Stevie Ray Vaughn,...etc etc.......God only knows..Instead of being influenced by the blues players of the past..he incorporated more jazz licks (ala Wes Montogomery) into monster rock solos! Music today desperately needs more Peter Framptons. For the sake of our young musicians/guitarists who need to know the truth about real guitar heros

  • @hofnerjoe Very good question. Maybe he was branded as a teen idol back in the day. My sisters would have done anything for PF

  • Hey all - that's me right in front of Peter in the two-toned shirt. What a night this was!!

got to talk to Peter after the show - going to see him in March!!

  • @mcddtlc really? You are insanely lucky

  • this is reel rck in rll

  • That guitar he's playing was lost in a 1980 plane crash in the Caribbean. Someone found it and the Curacao tourism representative gave it back to Peter. Awesome story!

  • I saw Peter frampton live in Nashville about 2 or 3 years ago. I'm 15 now and watching this made me remember how badass that night was lol

  • who ever says pf isn't up there with the rest of the great guitarist is out of their f&^%#@! minds and this song gets me so hyped up it isn't funny i guess you had to grow up in that era to appreciate good rock and roll love, peace and flowers

  • HAPPY HE HAS THE GIBSON BACK AFTER 31 YEARS!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I do but 98 others seem not to... FAGS!

  • Nice to know that Peter's long lost '54 LP Custom has been found...the guitar he's playing here didn;t die in that Venezuelan planecrash after all. It's beat up a bit, and a little charred around the nut, but still intact.....can't wait to see him bring that thing back on the road(he's already stated that this guitar is going back into use as his No. #1).

  • @bowslap

Yeah i about creamed myself when I saw that story online... such a beautiful piece of history... nice to know its back to it's rightful owner.

  • great song

  • even better when you're high.

  • Ahh!...the good old days.....70's and 80's when we had some real rock and roll and so much talent!

  • Cool fact, he thought this guitar was gone, but he just got it back from a fan, awesome, right?

  • Nothing harder to watch than someone using a talk box! Sounds cool but they should go step behind a curtain when doing it then re-apear when thier done.

  • No lip sync here just good old talent and entertainment--Rock On !

  • what in good Gods name is wrong with this audience???

  • Ahhhhh frampton... funny thing is though... He was considered the bieber of back then... I got framptonitius

  • ...and the guitar has returned, amazing!!

  • omg how adorale was he? Loved him and this album...thanks for uploading..he really does enjoy playing and singing...brings back the best of memories

  • nice!

  • This is amazing, im 17, and this is amazing.

  • Where the hell did I dine......................

  • me hizo sacudir la cabeza como cuando era un pendex!!! Un gran músico Peter, y Bob... porsupuesto! y los que podían seguirlos a éstos dos locos!!!<

  • If it wasnt 2:00 in the morning, i would be blasting this and dancing. How can anyone stay still while watching Frampton??? you dont even need to hear the music just watching him makes me move. Love it.

  • im reaaaaly high right now :D

  • ahhh ~ i was 15 when i saw this on the telly :o) ~

  • .... This version's video is crystal fucking clear and the sound is amazing. This is no doubt the best recording of the song.

  • this is real talent, real music, the mess they play today, is pathetic, and this is coming from a 15 year old girl

  • I don't know about you, but that's a boring ass crowd...i would be out of my seat fuckin jammin!!!!

  • So, so high and every note hits like a hammer anyway! That is talent.

  • The days of Rock and Roll are weighning to an end with fewer and fewer musicians learning their craft and being innovative like the guys of this era. the computers are making it all too easy and nobody is spending hours and hours plucking out their scales on an old six- string box with heavy- guaged strings to toughen up their finger tips until they bleed. People, we have spoiled our children. REGRET!!!

  • Bob Mayo on the keyboards, Bob Mayo !!!!

  • Classic pre Frampton comes alive on Midnight Special,,,Damn good job, thank you.

  • Daumen hoch!!!!Immer wieder gern und ein absolutes Muss für die Ohren!!!Gruß aus Deutschland/Thüringen

  • Frampton rocks and deservs all respect from any of you fuckfaces who dissagree like this comment of you agree

  • Masterpiece ! Bows to you Frampton, and to the uploader too for uploading this masterpiece !

  • i love jamming on my fretless bass with this masterpiece

  • Amazing!

  • You know Bill Wyman wanted this guy to replace Brian Jones, not Mick Taylor. He was deemed to be too young, but there was a reason why Wyman wanted him. This is the reason.

  • Yes that's pure talent right there...and pure sex on legs too... beautiful guitar god Peter you rock my world♥

  • That's PURE TALENT right there.

Can't believe the idiot below said "This guy sucks."

He doesn't know great music and talent when he hears and sees it, that's for sure.

  • incredible

  • i wanna get a talk box. do that to a chick, and you'll have a hard time finishing the song for her trying to tear off your clothes

  • 7:13 "I want to nail you"....love his talent on the box

  • God I miss these shows like In Concert, Midnight Special, and Kirshners Rock Concerts. It was absolutely great being able to stay up late on weekends, watching Frampton, KISS, ACDC, Montrose, Grand Funk and others play.

  • Can we feel the love in this room?

LMFAO at the stupid arguing about the talkbox.

  • @HighseasP ... he's just kidding, everyone ...

  • Tuff Room!!

  • Frampton Rocks!!!!!

  • This guy is the man.

  • Doesn't Peter look retarded during the first solo

  • @BigOnumba44 liar

  • @BigOnumba44 nope he's just high

  • The split screen with Bob Mayb(RIP) is awesome. Love when Mayo flies down the keyboard at the 3:24 mark.."champagne for breakfast!!. Also love the drum fill at 8:37 before the final solo. What a spectacular performance!! BRAVO!!

  • @saturnjill Bob Mayo, on the keyboards, BOB MAYO !!!! whooooo!!!!!

  • The long guitar solo is epic... I like to picture bringing out an inflatable pig after the first "Do you feel like I do" in the epic solo after 4:55. Rock on, Frampton!

  • It actually doesn't take that much skill to use it... If you play guitar you can play with a talk box.

  • I agree with loriannedic and jasraymond,Legendary and real rock, any one who does'nt like this album must be tone deaf,or maybe they like the osmunds

  • Frampton was so great man! I NEED A TIME MACHINE NOW! RIGHT NOW!

oh man what I'd give to bring back the good old dayzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! And, yes, I have even made peace with my ex! LOL

  • @guitarttimman LMAO my friend, you're not the only one waiting on a reasonably priced time machine. I can think of plenty of placed I could be, feeling like they do!!!

  • great song

  • funny to see people get so wound up, disrespectful, hateful, and ripping each other apart verbally...all over some videos with music or whatever else is on this website....what a wonderful loving community we live in !! no wonder there's so much violence out there when we leave our homes *** look what we say to each other when we are IN our homes talking to others !!

  • FRAMPTON....SUBLIME!!!!!

  • i just lol'ed at the two top comments. i love reading about people fightin over the dumbest things hahahaha

  • say what you will,,but in 1975 the world just hadnt seen much in the way guitarist of this caliber,,not many today can just do "off the cuff" improvisation,,,,and best of all,, he's still rockin out to this day,,go catch one of his shows,,you wont be dissapointed like you will with modern groups that cant pull off their own stuff live without help from a stack off sound engineering equipment......keep rapeing that fretboard "mr. peter frampton!!!!!!!!!!

  • This album is LEGENDARY, nuff said ~ :)

  • Amazing!

  • Why do people make dumb azz comment on here . this is real OS Rock if U don't like it get the fck off here

  • The album made rock history and you people argue about the merits of other guitarists. Give credit where credit is due. For crying out loud. This man ROCKED. All without autotune and 25 leotard wearing dancers.

  • No "Bob Mayo on the keyboards, Bob Mayo." Amazing version. The bass is awesome.
