  • purple haze ;)

  • I WISH MY "AFTER" LOOKS AS GOOD AS YOUR "BEFORE".

  • or use toothpaste and a buffer. saves a lot of time

  • USE TOOTHPASTE (^_~)

  • @ZANTOSAOR does that really work? and what kind, like a gel or just a regular white paste, or one with the little beads in it?

  • @quileter yeah man..! it does work.. i used regular paste.. lol i know it sounds funny! but it saved me a few ££ on having to replace the headlights :)

  • Why waste time on this when you've got wipe-off stuff like Pittman's ALR and nubrite out there?

  • "German Nazis used this thing so it's gotta be good"

  • @bigwheelers1 HAHA im already cracking up and i haven't even watched the video yet nice one!

  • i notice only idiots who polish their head lamps when they polish their cars have this problem. Stop trying so hard to polish everything. your head lamps will look good for ever. the old glass headlamps never had this problem. the new plastic lenses break down from the polishing compounds.

  • Is this a JOKE?

  • at 2:30, the sandpaper flew away because it can't believe this stuff doesn't work!

  • use 400 wet sandpaper to clean lens. Tape up and paper around the lens in preparation for painting. Use a high quality clear. Apply 3 coats allowing 30 minutes to dry between. Lens will have a milky look that will dry clear in a day.

  • Instead of being rude and commenting on what the guy did wrong, why don't you assist him on what people need to do, to do this right... otherwise Shut the hell up...

The only thing I was confused about was what chemicals he was using I wish he would list the chemicals used in the video instead of labeling them 1, 2, 3, etc.. it would be better to know hey use this particular chemical or this chemical 1st, then this 2nd.. than this last particular sealant chemical... Instead of being vague.

  • Your tutorial is missing to many important steps... You are setting a lot of people up for disaster.....

  • min 1:25 he used the sand paper on his thumb !!!

u can borrow my car if you want ;)

  • @amd121 It was probably folded over!

  • WHERE IS THE HAZE??? WHERE IS THE MASKING TAPE??? SO YOU PAINT WILL BE NICE AND SCRATCHED UP FROM THE 400 GRIT?? SMOOTH MAN...

  • that suck dude

  • If you would like to get into your sealed headlight fixture it is possible. I did it on my GTI by removing the whole fixture and placing it in the oven at 220F for about 15min. This will then allow the Silicon to soften and then pry open with a medium wide stiff mud knife. It will come apart quite easily and after cleaning the inside of the glass then replace the Silicon with new stuff and put back.

  • ahahhahahahahah automobile

  • Hey! Leave Ice Cube alone. :)

  • Thoes headlights from 2008 look really bad, I would have bough new ones.

  • @slugger1714 for this car yes he is crazy to start with 400 grit because the headlights already look like new. He could start with 1,000,000 grit because these headlights don't need anything. If you've got really terrible headlights that are completely yellow and hazy then yes starting with a lower grit would be better. Also, you should notice that when you do this sanding, it takes of the original protective coating. Ur lights will be back to normal within 6 months if you don't use a sealant.

  • too much work! check out GSS Headlight Lens Restorer - wipe on, wipe off, that's it!

  • Why did his voice change as soon as he started cleaning? from 0:39 XD

  • @dean4tech He was speaking to his shoulder/camera. When he started to clean, he was then talking into the mic on his shirt. It became louder.

  • @bigwheelers1 hahahaha

  • use toothpaste

  • @Nguyen360 masking tape will not take off paint

  • I used Turtle Wax's Headlight Restorer Kit on my 1999 E430 Benz and now my headlights look brand new. Real easy instructions and only costs $9. Pick it up at any auto store like Autozone.

  • Of course it will look good on a NEW headlight! Try that on a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee with headlights so bad you cannot see inside them! Anyone who has one knows exactly what I am talking about! Just saying :)

  • my friend has a 99 cherokee, and he used colgate toothpaste and a dry towel.

    quicker and 10 times cheaper

  • @tegrepp and it's minty fresh

  • those lights need no sanding

  • Just use a Buff wheel!

    Faster and safer!!

  • sand paper no thanks

  • i would never touch my car with sandpaper

  • @aziankid12345

Not with 400 grit sandpaper anyway.

  • @aziankid12345 guess you aar could never be repainted then. if needed

  • this is a video u would wanna watch watch?v=F_1HzypFIfs

  • Or... go buy some Mothers mag and aluminum polish and a terry cloth, use a little product and a lot of elbow grease, job done. It's quicker and lasts longer.

  • unless i misheard, he never went over the part where u remove the sanding marks you have inflicted. That is a necessary step, otherwise those lights are not going to shine.

  • This is correct. It's a rinse and repeat pyramid scam with these products. The hazing comes back within the month, and they ask you to use the product and procedure every time.

  • Best video I've seen for a simple instruction. All other ones just a bunch of noise with no running commentary.

  • yea i know right? why would u demonstrate this using an 08 altima? that car has barely been through any hazing or oxidation. They need to use an older car to show the product.

  • i see what u r saying but if he did tht the video would be longer than 3 mins so in order to make a quick instructional video its better to just explain how to do it instead of doing out the entire process which would take a lot longer

  • try an actully hazed light

  • just use toothpaste if you want a quick fix. Polish the toothpast of your choice (make sure the paste isnt gritty) then polish it in with an old shirt or cloth(not too rough)

  • thanks ima try that lol not

  • Thanks, it worked out perfect.

  • the second he said 400 grit, i was like "oh gawd no..."

  • haha lol. that dont even need cleaning.

  • 400 GRID SANDPAPER!?! IS HE NUTZ!?!?!

    DonT Do iTz PpLz!!!

  • U R right ,400 is too much for a new car like this infinity (the lens like a mirror ! )

  • Comment removed

  • OMG ! it's a nissan !! i didn't notice ,,i feel like such an idiot,,,

well it's the same company !

  • Its a Nissan bro

  • this MAN IS WRONG!!! AND HE HAS BEEEN TALKIN CRACK TO THINK TO USE 400GRID PAPER ON HEADLIGHTS????

    HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAH JOKER

  • lolhahahahaha Mrs ahhahahah

  • we must ask the Mythbusters to respond to the comments below

  • Come on guys, where is your imagination?? :P

  • how can you tell if what you're doing is working? if you did the demo in a totally hazed headlight, then i think it would be easier for us to see if it really works.

  • maybe using a headlight with actual HAZE on it might prove your method a little better....lol.

  • i detail cars at my dads work for his boss on his corvette i used a regular automated car buffer and some car wax and or polish and it took the haze right out

  • is the sealant permanent? is it necessary to use it?

  • trust me I could clean any headlights from a brand new car. try an old one

  • the wind is blowing the sandpaper in the back ground scratching the car paint! how you fix that?! hahahahaha

  • this would be better if the headlight was hazed

  • it may have been before.

  • @viraluser what haze means?? i thought haze was weed like purple haze

  • turtleneck?

  • This car had not haze... so how do we know it works?

  • There is alot more to this process, however this is a permanent fix. My boyfriend details cars. it will actually take the old layers of the headlight to the new finish. like a chemical peel. It does work. but it takes time.

  • man why cant you just buy the simple stuff that takes 5 min?

  • quick tip dont spray window cleaner straght onto the headlight spray it on the cloth to avoid over spray

  • was gonna say that but saw it was posted. the sun really will react with the cleaner and damage your paint.

  • lubricant mmmm lol

  • Ney!! bodywork polish or a cleaning wax is a much better idea!!!

  • purple haze?

    lol

  • lol pothead

  • There has got to be a better way to do this than using sand paper, that just dont sound safe. I dont care if its 10000 grit.

  • just put some turtle wax on it, done and done.
