Agreed. They're letting the gimmicky childish aspects of Sonic sell the games, and not the gameplay or level design.

The reason the Sonic games aren't what they used to be is because the original Sonic Team isn't around any more. When Sammy Holdings merged with SEGA, a lot of the original Sonic Team staff was replaced.

i have my doubts for this one, the whole sword thing is going to kill the speed that sonic is known for, before you had all those homing attacks but now you need to run up and slash your enemy and if your running and slashing and you miss one got to go back kill it.
