  • I have no clue how pokemon got mixed up on this -_-

  • '-_- W-Item Trick no???

  • For info on how too duplicate using only "one" item, see my videos!

also, you can learn how too duplicate sources, using any one item!!!

  • best thing to do is use conformer and go into the ship underwater. give yuffie as many paired materia slots as you can and pair up morph with as many sneak attacks as you can. thats what i did lol. instant morph right from the start. so i dont really even have to pay attention much while im morphing for stat gain.

  • I just started ff7 again with a goal of getting everything and anything. Now that I see all these glitchs it's pointless. I HATE THAT.

  • It's not a glitch. This is maxing out stats, a must if you want a perfect game. Strength, vitality, dexterity, and luck are easy to get maxed out. Spirit and magic require either a lot of time and effort to max out or exploiting the W-item glitch via the disk cover (the latter I don't know much about).

  • a perfect combination is sneak attack[MASTER]+Morph and Counter[MASTER]+morph also monster materias for often battle

  • Um I think i may have accidentally sold the apocalypse overlooking it as a "weak weapon" is there any way to recover this weapon?

  • I wouldn't know. Perhaps bone village might offer some hope? It's all I can say short of starting a new game from the beginning.

  • I know how to increase my stats, it isn't difficult, only time consuming. My question is, how can I go about doing Max Damage? I on Disc Two, before Rocket to Meteor. This is my 9th ot 10th play through but it has been forever since I last played.

Well cloud. at level 67 and with his strongest weapon, no materia still only does 2500 damage. His Strength is 210 and his attack is 255

  • Level plays a considerable role in determining damage. Without criticals, you should eventually be doing 8000 damage to enemies (7000 later on, since enemies have a higher defense). Once you get to the point where you gather luck sources, you can otherwise be guaranteed max damage to everything, with deathblow.

  • @ulillillia that's odd. my cloud (lol) is at lvl 70, and has ultima weapon equipped. he does like 8000- ITS OVER 9000!! on safer sepheroth. and this is without criticals (witch i do get a lot) i think the weapon it self will do more damge. with ragnorak, hge does like 5000 but when i switch, it almost doubles. i dont use deathblow anymore.

  • You should use deathblow, but only if you max out your luck from morphing bad rap. It's guaranteed to hit and always for 9999 damage, even with all effects (from mega all). The only time it'll miss is if the enemy you're hitting has a high evasion to begin with.

  • @ulillillia my luck stat was at 80 or something. besides, instead of deathblow, i use 4xcut for cloud, made baret a tanked blue mage and tifa, well, she turn rydia or lydia from FFIV.

  • It's Rydia that you're referring to, a red wizard at first then a black wizard later. 4x cut is only decent when facing high-HP enemies. Besides, with "mega all", you can't use it at all. At least with deathblow, maxed strength, and maxed luck, you're guaranteed 9999 damage unless used on an enemy with a very high evasion where it's only guaranteed if the attack hits in the first place.

  • @ulillillia i really don't need max stat's. its too time consuming. ill stick to maxing out the stats of my pokemon. i didn't know you could get power sources from that rhino tank. i knew you can get the magic source from the dragon knights at the crater. and the sources from the sunken ship enemys.

  • Too time consuming? I don't think so, except for magic and spirit. I've only seen magic sources on that one plane where you get luck and speed. Luck and speed are very easy to get maxed out.

  • @ulillillia LVL 70+, 90+stats. 100hours into the game 2000 max damage for tifa, 8000+ damage for barret and cloud. beat sepheroth in under 2 minutes....well, i found that no challenge now. a real challenge is beating the elite four on pokemon emerald with poke mon max lvl 45 and least lvl 40. now that is a challenge. and i did that.

  • my strength is stuck at 249

  • This can only be because of magic materia and other things that reduce strength. Removing these should change it to 255.

  • Mother of God

  • u got limit lvl 3?? pierdolony bolek

  • do this with the creatures in the sunken ship...they are all by themselves and have various different sources. works awesome with the W-item glitch and a open ps1 lid ;)

  • You can make the morphing easier with Yuffies Conformer. Conformer does normal attacking damage even when morphing, and being Yuffies ultimate weapon, it's a lot. Also you can't hit your own party members with it, making Yuffie a safe player against enemies that can cast confuse on you.

  • The complete lack of materia growth on ultimate weapons deters me from ever using them. Besides, at this extremely early point in the game (it's still disk 1), you don't have access to it in the first place as far as I'm aware.

  • so wait were in the temple of ancients is it

  • You'll find it along the path. If you have the Brady Games guide, it incorrectly marks the location.

  • i wish u could do the w item glitch for them would be way easier lol

  • It would be... unless you're after doing it as early as the game allows. The only time it would be most useful would be for magic and spirit, the two hardest ones to raise.

  • @robber13 It is possible to use w-item trick for power sources. I just made a video for it. Check out "FF7 Power Source Duplication, Fastest way"

  • @robber13 You CAN W-Item glitch the Power Sources. Check out BrutalAI's W-Item glitch - Morph Method video.

The only difference is, Heavy Tanks appear on their own - so open the disc cover during the morph animation (watch BrutalAI's video to understand). Opening the disc cover will prevent the game from moving onto the victory fanfare and you have all the time in the world to duplicate the sources.

  • do you know where to get speed source?

  • The sunken plane (you'll need the submarine for it). Morph "poodler", found in the hallway (not where the boxes are) mixed in with "bad rap", of which can be morphed for luck. I have a video demonstrating this. Only magic and spirit are troublesome as they take too long to get maxed out as the enemy that gives them (from morphing, also in the same plane) is a rare encounter and you only get one at a time (unlike what this video has, where it's always the same easy enemy).

  • might as well just equip yuffie with the conformer and use morph with that, lets you do full damage with morph making the gelinka much easier, i even tried morphing emerald weapon unfortunately it just dies normally

  • At this point in the game, the only ultimate weapon you'd likely have encountered is Aeris'. This is still disk 1 ya know. You can max out level (within 40 hours is doable, maybe even 30 with the untried Junon alarm method), strength and vitality on disk 1.

  • @ulillillia ah fair enough didnt realise this was an attempt to do it early game ;) good job then :P

  • another way to get power / mind/ spirit sources is in the sub ... i havent played it in a while but maybe someone knows alittle more than I and can elaborate on what i'm trying to point out....

    cheers FF7 rules !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The sunken Gelnika is what you're referring to. It's only magic and spirit you'll need here, but raising these stats is very slow compared to all the others. Dexterity and especially luck are the fastest to max. Vitality is next (the Mideel area) followed by strength (Gongaga). The Gelnika contains all 6 sources, but it's best only for dexterity and luck and the only place for magic and spirit.

  • with morph-sneak attack combo

  • I did this automatically. By compressing one of the directional button with a rubber band(so that cloud is constantly running against a wall) and the "attack" button on pc (so that cloud always morph, with memory set up). i just come back every 2 hr to use the 99 pwr source

  • I'm on my first playthrough of this game on my ps3, just got W-Item! I'm having such a blast, there is just way too much to do in this game. I'm level 68, working on obtaining the items to defeat emerald. Nice vid.

  • FF7 IS THE BEST GAME EVAR!

  • can anyone tell me where to find w magic please

  • @dayz2nite w magic is in the northern cave. u know the room where there is a big glowing light in the centre of it? i think u find counter materia at the light, its north of that, at the top end of the room, good luck =)

  • @dayz2nite beat the ruby or emearld weapons to get an item or morph a ghost ship at junon(one time only) in the under water reactor. trade the item u get to a man in kalm(the house to the right all alone

  • think ya got enough gil there buddy?

  • What you see here is nothing. Watch my "176 speed chocobo" video and you'll see a really long number.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • what disc do you find the W-item materia?

  • Disk 2, at the very end (you won't be able to make the most of it until you finish the Midgar event there (which means you'll be on disk 3).

  • When you fly back over midgar and parachute down you will notice it before fighting the turks theres a big yellow materia near a save spot (i dont know exatly where it is but its on those train tracks where you fight the turks)

  • Actually, it's to the far back of the tracks, the "wrong way" back. It's a long trip there and back, but it's worth the effort (unless you want to spend a few hours and gil dealing with rotten luck at Bone Village).

  • @ulillillia

to get w-item in bone villiage simply dig at the cross before the stairs on the lower level, its faint but its there

  • Alright thanks a lot cause im lv 54 and with 255 str and atk and i was only hitting 3800 ish and i remembered last time i played the game i was hitting 7700 so i was like wtf?? alright thanks a lot

  • If you're after gaining levels quickly on disk 1, look at my "sixth leveling ground" video. It's fast and relatively easy. Then again, you may prefer to simply patrol the beaches instead and deal with "sand worm" which is much easier though it does cause blindness.

  • how much damage should cloud do with 255 atk and no materia equiped? with nail bat disk one?

  • The damage actually depends on the level. At level 99, damage is usually around 8000, ignoring elementals and criticals. I don't know what the effects would be for level 30 or 50 though, as I've never done the Temple of the Ancients event without someone on level 99 and I've played the game through 4 times.... Level does affect damage though.

  • Great tutorial. Farming > Cheating

    "Cause knowledge is Power"

..but i've got to point out the irony of equipping a 'Pre-emptive' materia, only to be 'Back' attacked, first pull after its equip. 3:50

    -Cheers.

  • The "pre-emptive" materia only increases the chances of getting first strike. It's not always guaranteed though, and some monsters are even immune to this aspect.

  • i srslly wush you could use power sources during battle using the w-item glitch getting them would be 100x more easier

  • I'd agree with that. Magic and spirit are the two hardest and slowest stats to raise.

  • All you have to do is find an enemy the comes in two's and morphs into what you want, then morph it and use W Item on an item that has 1. then when the enemy gets morphed do the w item glitch and you actually use the source or whatever item you want. Works well in sunken gleika with luck and speed.

  • The W-item glitch does not work for sources - you can't use them in battle and thus they can't be duplicated.

  • Yet you can...

Have one item to be used in W Item, use morph, quickly use W Item and the morphed item takes the W Item slot.

  • @ulillillia

You can do the W Item Glitch for Sources as long as those sources come from an enemy some how. Luck (Sunken ship with enemies around) Speed (Sunken ship with enemies around) and Power (Where you are in this video) are really common. I don't know what enemies Morph into the other sources. But if you're fast you can use the W Item and get like 1-5 sources per Rhino but you have to have a lot of items 1 and you'd have to use the sources after each fight as well as organize the items.

  • The enemy Spiral can morph into guard sources. They're usually found near Mideel in the gray terrain.

All enemies in the sunken ship can morph into sources, but too bad most appear solo, so you can't duplicate 99 sources on those enemies.

  • i never found the morph materia in the temple and im on disk 3.........i guess i cant max my stats now right?

  • The morph materia is along the main path in the temple, hard to miss. You can still get it, but it can take a few hours and requires good skill at Bone Village.

  • i just realised something watching this video.

The way Cloud uses Morph is the exact same way he uses Cross-Slash but without the X and its a lot faster. This is similar to how Deathblow for Cloud is the same as Braver in the exact same fighting move, but without the shine before his attack.

  • By reusing animation frames or groups of them, one can save on disk space and memory.

  • still, its a bit cheap imo.

Also, the Slash-All is the same as Blade Beam in animation.

  • No it's not. Slash-All, Cloud swings the sword once from side to side.

In Blade Beam, he hoists the blade over his shoulder, then brings it down to the ground, releasing the beam.

  • Ah, i was wrong there. Thank you :)

  • 2 long

  • Where the hell do you train to reach LVL 99 at Disk One? And also, how much playtime does this take to reach, the time if you train after the Temple of The Ancients to be clear.

  • See my "sixth leveling ground" video. If you rushed the game until you get the Tiny Bronco, then focused on leveling, you could get level 99 by 40 hours' game play. I have it in nearly 60 because I spent a lot of time at other leveling grounds for videos of these. There's 8 leveling grounds and the 6th is the best for a long time to come.

  • Right before The Temple of The Ancients I decided I wanted to get all limit breaks I could at this point, especially Aeris' and I managed all of my characters to about level 49....

Turns out that I never even got to use Great Gospel against any bosses because they were too weak and I reached a higher level than them, lol...

  • use enemy lure

  • Enemy lure doesn't help much with speeding up the process for maxing magic and spirit. All enemy lure does is it increases the encounter rate so you don't have to wait as long to get another battle. I usually have 2 enemy lures equipped....

  • That's alot of farming PS though but worth it, is there any monster that turns into Speed Source?

  • The four stats that are easy and fast to max are strength, vitality, luck, and dexterity, in order of availability in terms of the story. Grab the morph materia while in the Temple of the Ancients and complete that event and you can then max strength. Get Tiny Bronco and you can max vitality. Get the submarine and everything else becomes accessible (magic and spirit are very slow to get, 20% as fast as even this each).

  • If you use Yuffie's Conformer from the Sunken Gelnika you will have no problem morphing with that.

  • This is disk 1 ya know - just after completing the Temple of the Ancients event (which is when maxing the strength first becomes available).

  • You cen morph the enemies for thees sources in the sunked ship... and get 2x cut and Cids last limit or wep dont remember and Typoon. thos monsters are stronger and they givi mora XP :P

  • if you have 1 of an item like potion you dont need and the W-Item Materia you can glitch the Power Spehere or the other Spheres by ejecting the cd from ps3 or opening the cd drive on psx(on ps2 its the same just press the cd eject button) and it should stop the end of the battle...when your about to morph the enemy press on the potion/item and dont use it or another item just let it be and have the sphere in that spot...and your good to go for 99 spheres

  • I think there was a power source in there, but I don't recall which enemy had it (it was one of the unknowns). This tank enemy is the fastest way to do it though.

  • Yes you can morph every enemy in Gelnika into a source of diffrent types

    Unknown - power

    unknown 2 - guard

    unknown 3 - magic

    poodler - speed

    bad rap - luck

    serpent - mind

But unless you're using conformer ( damage left uneffected when using morph) i'd wait a little and just farm power sources here

  • You're better off using "heavy tank" in Gongaga for power sources (see my "how to max strength" video for details) and "spiral" around Mideel for guard sources (see my "how to max vitality" video for details).

  • You get hades in sunken ship and cids last weapon in rocket town but you're right about the limit you get yuffie last weapon in gelnika too typhoon is in ancient forest

  • Dude...can't you use these in a fight? Just W-Item it....

  • If you could use them in a battle, I'd have already maxed magic and spirit, the two hardest (magic is easy due to magic plus materia, but spirit is going to take days to do for just one character because it's so slow and difficult to get. You can't use sources in battle so W-item doesn't work.

  • You can "W-Item-trick" Gaurd, Luck and Sources, search youtube for a person named: "Brutalal" all credits for this trick go to him.

  • yeah its so friggin easy thx to him now....255 in str on battle arena is awesome :D

  • read the post i just did for Cipijs

  • im at the stage were sephinroth has stolen the black materi from me, the green underwater monster is still salive, i cant kill it yet, the big cannon is pointing to the north crator where the barrier is.I have no gill left hardly, I have no special limits unless i look at the tips you and others gave to gain max of everything.

  • u dont really need the strenghth stat . Its frustrating to get cuz u only get 1 power source per battle. Go into the sunken ship underwater into the hallway. There you will fight enemies that can max ur speed and luck stats. Sometimes u fight 4 enemies in a single battle. U max out the luck stat and almost every hit will be a critical hit, basically doubling ur normal attack power. U get the luck sources much faster too.

  • ... but, when you use slash all with maxed luck and strength, you can still do max damage to almost anything. Deathblow also does max damage to everything (unless the enemy, naturally, has a very high evasion).

  • I now have the key to ancients, keystone, Leviathan scales, ive been told to have a good chocobob to travel over mountains and water? all my side kicks are in the air shipincluding the old man nibleheim, where do i take him?? any ideas mate

  • How do you actually morph the monsters? when i use it with Cloud it does like.. 70 dmg, Help :(

  • When you first start, it's low. In my case, I have a level advantage - 99 (see my sixth leveling grounds for details on a quick way to level in disk 1). You may even want to use this area to master morph twice so everyone has it. If you use a physical attack, it may be doing about 550 damage for you (morphing does 1/8 the damage). This enemy has 1600 HP, so you may want a few casts of quake or damage it so that gets within a few hundred HP then start morphing it.

  • Bah, i'm quite new to this.. I've just beaten diamond weapon and my guys (Cloud, Vincent and Red XIII) are between 55-57.. So yeah :( I just came back to the game after a long year break, want to start getting back into it and actually finish the game fully xD

A bit of random information there.

  • I've never been past disk 1 without someone on level 99.... I've played through the game in full 4 times and know quite a bit about it. I'm not a master as there's still plenty I don't know (such as using Yuffie's "conformer" weapon, whereever you get that to do normal damage with a morph). After all, I have a video where I do 2 complete battles with Emerald Weapon in under 4 minutes.

  • Conformer is in the sunken ship in the water, which you can only get after you do the Sub mini game and obtain the Shinra Sub.. You also get Cid's level 4 limit break and something else there.. Also you get the Hades Materia which is really good <.< Just telling you!

  • ... and if you haven't seen the battle with defeating Ruby Weapon, you'll seen hades being put to use on him to stop him. If the conformer has no materia growth, that could explain why I never used it.

  • Y dont you just equip Yuffie with her Conformer weapon Have her use Sneak Attack with Morph and she should do max damage as sooon as you start the fight then its even quicker to max?? And give her the Mega-All if theres multiple enemies

  • Storywise, I just finished the "Temple of the Ancients" event, which is where you get morph. I didn't have access to the more high-end stuff. You can't gauge story progress by level - I've got videos where I reach level 99 on disk 1 (the music and lack of meteor give this away). I don't think I have the conformer either and at the time I played this, I had no idea of its effect with morphing. I usually just all-out morph everything or weaken the enemy considerably first beforehand.

  • Ah Ok... Level 99 on disk 1.. U must be a very patient person Lol

  • Well, you can now pretty much add "level 99 in the first world of Final Fantasy 6" - I just got the meteor spell and uploaded a video to prove this.

  • i still manage to beat rpgs without maxing out stats but hey i still manage to beat it. i only do quick and short sidequest cause RPGs i really dont have much patients i just want to get it over with already.

  • has anyone tried not getting yuffie until disk 2?

if you dont get yuffie everytime you fight her. she will not steal your materia in disk 2 when you go to wutai. am i right? :D

  • I don't know. Because of my 5th leveling grounds, I always get her by disk 1 before I get the Tiny Bronco....

  • She steals your materia in disc 1, not 2.

  • no she steals materias in cd2 too

  • im stuck, i have catastrophe and others that are limit skill do i need to use these??, do i need to arange my materia better to get any further?? Ive found out you need to get a good or great chocobo ? do you? im collecting them now. I have the old man blendinheim on my air ship, where does he go, where do i take him because im lost haha, the others keep going on about the lass that got killed by sprenroth or what ever his name is. does anyone know where to take him?

  • You need to be more specific. Where in the story are you? What are you trying to accomplish (getting new limits, how to defeat an enemy, etc.)?

  • Comment removed

  • does final fantasy 7 come with a new game plus???

  • no i dont think no it dont

  • The music in this game is timeless.

  • To me, it's not very decent. The current song I'm at has been going on for at least 3 weeks now (that's still only 40% of my record and half my third-place record). I don't know when I started, but it's been going on for a long time.

  • Wouldn't it be easier to get into random battles in the Sunken Gelinka? Every enemy down there gives you a 'Source' item, so you can max more stats than just the power...

  • This is the most dependable way to max strength - it's the fastest, safest, and easiest. Plus, on top of that, you can do this as soon as you get the morph materia. The plane, is only worthy for luck and dexterity. Magic and spirit are the slowest to max out. Vitality can be maxed with morphing spirals. See my related videos for details on this.

  • if u sell the morph materia how do u get it back?

  • You can't as far as I know, short of starting a new game....

  • even though i love this game, ive beaten it way to many times lol, 7 to be exact.

  • where did you find morph though???

  • Temple of the Ancients. It's one of the first places you visit upon getting the Tiny Bronco, after the place for the 5th leveling grounds.

  • thank you

  • Using Yuffie's Conformer, which has damage based on the enemy's level, you can get a morphing damage of 9999 against the enemies in the sunken Shinra submarine. Fastest place to level your character's stats over-all.

  • You are completely correct. Mind Sources, which Serpents turn into, take the longest, but one can be morphed during every Special Battle in Goldsaucer's Battle Square.

  • How Long Did It Take To Get To 225 For You

  • It takes about 50 seconds per battle so for 100 to 244, it'd take 2 hours.

  • Cool Thanks Very Much

  • ok thank you

  • very good video but where is this gongaga?!?!

  • It's on the western continent, near Cosmo Canyon. You encounter it during the story line with the buggy.

  • woot rated 5 stars :)
