@WillSurfandSki I would imagine that they are a special kind of ski, there is almost no way that you could modify a alpine ski, considering most are wood core, would completely dry rot if completely immersed in water. Plus the video footage in this clip shows a broken ski. If the ski were modified, it would take a great deal of additional work than what was shown. Just a thought, could be wrong...

those are water skis with ski bindings/boots, so its wave skiing not surfing with snow skis on waves, it could be surfing with skis on waves, either way your title is wrong

Why would professional snow skiers use water ski's when they have snow skis at their disposal....

@yngbuck989 i have never in my life seen skis like that, im a water and snow skier, the yellow skis have fins mounted on them and are way too thick to be snow skis, the black pair could be powder boards but unless your in 5ft of champagne their way too fat to be usefull
