I don't think it'll get you banned, unless you use it like more than one time. I just tried it on my non-member penguin and it worked. I haven't got banned. Don't do it on your member penguin until your actually SURE you want to do it. You have to mentally prepare yourself and tell yourself your actually cheating, and it's against the penguins terms of service.
