  • ang galing!

  • i would have let it burn out

  • 5 stars man...excellent

  • simply amazing.

  • But one thing is important for me and leave with a feeling of incomplete appreciation: I want to know who is the person being drawed, even if it is just a woman in your life, or a dead mother...to know what it is is what makes it complete for me. Please, let us know how are they. Who is this woman´s face made of futile candle lights? Who was the old man behind the prison in your footprint art? Even if is just an anyone, let us know.

  • Phil, I am thrilled by your new way of art...it is very touching, very, very...because it goes beyond pencils and oleos, it adds deeper meaning to the piece.

  • I really like this

  • pure genius. <33333

  • That gave me goosebumps...

  • wow! i could never imagined that!!

  • you know where you put everything without double checking. i dont understand how you do it but you do and when you do you burn it down or something... you make artwork for fun and not for stupid reasons.. i like it a lot

  • WOW! Fantastic! Another blog entry to boast from one of my fave modern art artists. Tnx Phil! =)

  • awsome stuff

  • wow, awesome piece, best part is that you're willing to make art just for our entertainment, you don't even keep any of it. Great idea using candles, looks good since it's glowing. Keep up the good work! I like seeing art although I can't draw anything :P

  • is that JFK?

  • Another great piece. Wish you'd left it just a fraction longer before blowing them out I hadn't quite got the whole image - that's just me! Cheers, Lesley

  • That's it, this one goes to my blog.

  • I was so moved.beautifl and sad.I can fell emptiness...

  • This one makes me wanna cry, Just the whole aura of it. Mabey its the fact of the candles, but it feels so...

    soo....

    so Passionate.

It takes more than artistic skill for what you do phil, it takes brains, and heart, not to meantion a light, non-attached, feel for your art, and that must be hard. What you do is, heh, something else man.

    <3

    JessiDlux.

  • great work

  • was that steve irwin?

  • fantastic!

  • Absolutely brilliant. You must have went through so many lighters...

  • It kind of looked like Michael Myers.

  • get out! sometimes i am in disbelief that ONE person can possess such a creative artistic flare. if i said phil is amazing that would be another gross understatement... all i can say is WOW

  • Phil is a genius, and I'm in disbelief every video.

  • LOVE the music!

  • What was the piece for Goodbye Art-05?

  • I was wondering too.

  • too cool

  • Who was that, why dont you make a big picture, instead of putting small freeze frames together.

  • its because its "goodbye art" as in there isn't supposed to be anything left of it when hes done. Watch some of his other videos, same concept

  • Whus are you talking about. Iz you like insane?

  • he's talented...that was cool

  • Inspiring ,,wow,

    light my fire.......

  • lovely!!

  • that was swell

  • like the music for this one, who is it?

  • that was absolutely beautiful, it is so inspiring to see something like that, i can't wait till the next one.

  • Great!!!

  • i love it.

  • not your best video, but cool and interesting.

  • I just don't get how you always know exactly how to do that, because you always do multiple different parts of the picture and then restart with another. I would get frustrated and then throw the burning candles into some leaves or something, lol.

  • (that previous comment was for bluemark25)

tealights as art! amazing what you can do with a 12.99 bag (or two) of lil candles!

what I wouldnt give to run around your brain for 15 minutes...

    love your choice of music.

  • You are by far one of the most amazing men, let alone artists, that I have ever had the pleasure to learn of. Your art is inspiring, thought provoking and original.

I can only wish to meet you one day and speak with you about your work.

  • speechless as always.

  • Beautiful. I love that you are using YouTube as a way to share your art.

  • Brilliant! It looks like a boy to me. Very interesting how you let some of the lit candles create shading effect near the unlit ones. You have a dazzling mind. You must be great at math! :D Thank you for sharing your amazing works!

  • ... only 6? damn your efficient.

  • your fucken crazy haha awsome videos

You have inspired our oldest to do things we never knew he could do and our two youngest 2 and 4 love to watch when you post a new video. Our family time has becoming looking to see when you have new post up

  • That was great Phil. I really love all your videos. Keep doing what you're doing because you're wonderful at it.

  • your really one of my favorite artist. one day your going to be really famous for your art and how you do it.

  • I Love this video that`s beautiful. Candle is the life.

  • dude i am totally subscribing to this.

Are you in college? because if you are and you can do all this in your spare time, i think you must be the most amazing artist of all time

  • where is goodbye art 5?

  • yeah srsly

  • You are very creative, I'd say uniquely! Great job

  • This is awesome

you've done so much with fire, maybe do something with ice next?

  • how many lighters did that take?

  • wow... nice that was beautiful, but wut about Goodbye Art - 05 you never posted it

  • again, beautiful.

i love how the one candle was left burning.

i dunno, it was just very interesting.

  • Brilliant. Very reminiscent of a lightbrite.

  • cool as always!

  • dat vas gut

  • I can't believe how good you are

  • The music you choose for your videos is awesome.

  • Sinsaku:

It really is- Phil is awesome at art, but his choice in music is equally so.

  • Brilliant again!

  • Who ever thinks this video should be rated " 1 " please don't vote then =]

  • That was great. Who was the lady?

  • hey I love your art but I got a question do you get paid to do this?? or is it like a hobby?

  • You'll know when he starts getting paid bec. that will be the day we stop getting to see these awesome works for free!! :o)

  • bet that got your garage really hot and smoky!

  • extremely creative. and the whole "art destruction" is always a nice touch.

  • veeeeeeery cool

  • The music went really well.

You are a very talented artist!

  • dude....ur insane man, that is the sweetest thing ever

  • Sad, how the time slips away, isn't it?

  • Wow. Nice job.

  • What happened to #5?

Oh, this was, once again, amazing, btw.

  • Yeah, I thought Princess Diana when I saw this, too. It's a shame the final image didn't last longer so we could take it in before it was blown out. Very good work though.

  • how can you do that to candles

  • you are the andy warhol of this generation.

except not as superficial and possibly with more interesting ideas.

  • that was awesome. love the new way you showed how you put together the picture.

  • well i am a big fan but i wasn't the happiest with this one i feel like you rushed it there is one block missing and you barely get a chance to take in the picture before you start blowing it out still amazing i just feel like it was a bit lazy

  • i missed no5 - but this one is as high quality as always. i love the idea behind the whole series. it forced me to think about what attributes define art.

  • It surprises me that you didn't really have princess Diana in mind when you created it. 10 years after her death, candle in the wind... it seems to make sense :-p

Oh yeah, what happened to the second square on the left?

  • Great work but say, you typed number 6 but your last Goodbye Art video was number 4.. Where's number 5?

  • how

  • You are seriously twisted

  • amazing!!!! what a nice kind of art, very original, and way better than twodart, keep doing a great job! ;)

  • Totally original

  • Now if you had done that with Princess Dianna to "Candle In The Wind," you might've garnered some serious media coverage. But that would have been shamelessly taking advantage of a tragic event, sort of like that country singer who wrote that song about 9/11; so it's probably a very good thing that you didn't go that route.

  • your a godsend.

very very nice..a million years down the road hopefully ppl will be talkin bout you as we are of da vinci and picasso today

  • sick

  • very nice! :)

  • love the art...was that john lennon as a child?....JFK?

  • very very nice man
