As bad as this game is, EA came out with a game in the early 90's for the Sega Genesis called "Mutant League Football" You could do things like "Kill the Ref", turn the football into a bomb then throw an intentional interception, make your defense invisible and murder the QB. And then there were the landmines all over the field.
