Master Berman approaches the sense of Tchaikovsky better than anyone else. He is truly the pianist who respects the russian tradition. He tries to play Tchaikovsky, not to play the concerto nicely. I have heard over fifty performances and this one is the most faithful to the composer. Excellent posting, I will buy this record for sure.
