  • music time

  • So nice man,so nice.

  • wow dibala was good guitarist

  • I've just realised exactly how the music fits with the Title :D

Every keychange is like a new ball coming, the refreshing feeling from the keychange is supposed to be like the fun feeling of getting a new ball in a game of pinball... The chorus even shouts "new ball" in English at 2:15 , just after a keychange

  • jaja q chevre

  • Lord have mercy. This Naija man is seriously in love with Loketo and other great guitarists - Dally, Lokassa, Nene, Ngouma, Diblo, etc. Music has no language barriers.

Much love to the singers too - Pepe (RIP), Aurlus, Kanda, Shimita, Ballou, Yondo, etc

  • this music is beutiful man i wish Blacks in United States made music like this . but the Blacks from The Carribean Coast of Colombia in South America play this kind of music they call it Champeta look it up it's basically Soukous and Makossa in spanish . big ups to Loketo from a Mexican Salvadoran from Oakland Califaz .

  • deliciosa africa.. gran loketo nuestro ... salam...

  • i love this video

  • Super

  • people who were not in existence during this season are very unlucky to know what music is and they will never understand music

  • @nassuru Thats very tru, am in total agreement.

  • muthomi, the musicians and music industries relly did alot those days, not only african music but even the western, can you compare the music of today which portrays nothing but nothing with the music of that time, these newly born beginers will not undestand what we are talking about

  • @nassuru Pretentious wanker

  • @nassuru What a condescending and patronising attitude!

  • One of Diblo's best.

  • no.1 sorcerer of guitar in the whole world

  • my mom love this song very much and whenever i play it i think of going back home

  • Diblo is " Matata , matata ya somo." Le soliste de notre temps. He is surely incontestable.

Check him out, he is alone and having fun. What a fun ! let me play in. He is choking to death dancers because they can't keep up with his style. He truly needs a challenge. Bye.

  • Putin, sa dechire!!!!!!!!!! souvebir d'enfance. guitar 100% Loketo.

  • Extra Ball was my first Loketo record. Great stuff! Love when that high part kicks in.

  • It wasn't actually. They had another album, 'Soukous Trouble' before that. Extra ball was the first from their second album

  • You misread my comment. It was MY first Loketo record. Soukous Trouble is a wonderful album. I saw these guys live around this time, what a mind-blowing show.

  • Diblo Dibala soloing!!! he is bad!!!

  • Trop de souvenirs ! J'ai grandi avec du Loketo et aujourd'hui j'en écoute toujours (Extra Ball, Malou, Douce isabelle,).

Ce seront pour moi les meilleurs chansons de soukouss...

  • African guitar playing is just unbeatable!!

  • Arlus Mabele rocks back in the day. Still love their old band. They remind me of the old high school parties. What great time.

  • Magnifique... Qu'est ce que ma mere a pu danser dessus et m'en faire manger ...

    J'adoooooore !!

  • best video ever!!!

  • Go Diblo!

  • love diblo if I would name my guitarists I will put them in this order diblo, madoka, lokassa, shiko, nene, simaro lutumba, franco, just to name a few I am happy to say i have 2vhs for loketo and never getting tired of them. I miss those days in kenya listing to kbc playing ligala. Some of the finest guitar licks come from arlus music and loketo.

  • I remember we had good times dancing to that music including dressing like loketo!!!! Good memories!

  • les souvenirs du passe, inoubliable songs

  • I LOVE LOKETO!!!

  • SUPERB

  • Wow diblo dibala is my favorite guitarist!!!

  • I grew up on this stuff, reminds me of nights in with the family, dancing round the house with my younger brother & sister shakin our waists with jumpers wrapped round them for added effect African Styleee

It's so good to be able to watch these videos again, true RAW musical talent.

  • merci bokou à la personne ki a mis ttes c vidéos, ça me rapelle mon enfance, gd merci

  • soukousman thanx alot for this music. these were old days when dance loketo was fire to many discos acrooss east africa and beyond. diblo dibala obviously has been the best guitarist the world has ever produced. the group was just amazing. can they be back? i heard that diblo did perform with mabele recently. can someone confirm that? This is my alternative to zaiko langa langa(a band that still i cherise with their ungwasam dance style) anyway i am happy somebody posted diblos super k elswhere

  • they released something last year called Loketo cicatrice

  • Really? is Diblo in the album?

  • yes

  • that guitar play is tha sheytt!!!:D

  • Boaz(Bozi Boziana)Ogolla bado uko Nai? Remember RGS?

  • bongo mjini oyeee

  • honestly this song is the most hyped ive heard. having this song played before goin out partying makes me go crazy. im really starting to like this africa stuff.

  • This song sure gets your blood flowing :)

  • my introduction to rhumba started with loketo, and this cut in particular, marlus was da man

  • I love diblo. quand j'étais jeune je n'écoutais ke lui au senegal

  • merci soukousman pour tous tes effort pour nous avoir permis de revivre le soukous avec ses fondateurs authentiques.

  • Thank you Soukousman. I never saw this until now. What's this about an Aurlus Mabelé tour?? Tell us more...I would travel for that - !

  • Oh Arlus and Diblo, you take me far....the fun and enjoyment I experience while dancing to your music is beyond description! Luv this song!

  • One of the best if not the best super groups of the 90s.shukran for posting. These guys broke up because of the dominance of Aurlus who is originally from Congo-brazaville unlike the other guys

  • they broke up b/c Aurlus and Diblo had some differences but their back together now tho.

  • they need to get back together. At least for a tour. That will be great

  • actually they are. Did u get their new album?

  • Although this clip shows Diblo with a Fender I think he prefers an Aria RS-750S, built in the early 1980s at the Matsumoku factory in Japan. Most of the times I have seen him in concert he has played the Aria.

Aurlus is just nuts and is a lot of fun to watch. At a concert in Seattle in around 1991 I happened to be in the front row dancing and Aurlus pulled me up on stage twice to boogie with their girl dancers. Hehehe...what a kick!

  • next time dance away from the podium. Diblo looks a gentleman and focused on what he is doing

  • are you serious??!!! wow!!!

  • Lucien Bokilo, Jean Baron, Aurlus and Diblo, great guys of the late 80s and 90s

  • do u have any more loketo videos please..

  • were can i get this old music?like Jmbaron music and Lucian Bokilo and matchacha Diblo the old good thanks for bringing it out for us

  • thanks for posting this one, one of my all time favorite loketo tunes!

  • How is it that Diblo Dibala's guitar sounds like no other in the world? He's the reason I love Soukous and High Life. Well, along with Pepe-Kalle, Kanda Bongo Man, ...

  • man I feel u on that!! Thats what Ive been trying to figure out too.

  • ur the man

  • dang man u beat me. I was about to post these.

  • well right now i got an loketo dvd and an bozi boziana vcd but later on i get more dvds to post
