oh merci ++++++ quelle musique quel groupe , que de souvenirs ....le meillieur du soukous pompe a graisse , hé hé hé hé révé , soukouma soukouma les ambiencieurs oua les guitars du pur bonheur , droit au ciel
I've just realised exactly how the music fits with the Title :D
Every keychange is like a new ball coming, the refreshing feeling from the keychange is supposed to be like the fun feeling of getting a new ball in a game of pinball... The chorus even shouts "new ball" in English at 2:15 , just after a keychange
this is good stuff. does anyone know a soukous song with happy birthday lines in it (everybody loves you ........ happy birthday to you) if so pliz let me know. i remember it from my good old zimbabwe days during parties.
@BedRoomGangster Not Dally here but Diblo Dibala on Lead, Dally Kimoko is another excellent guitarist his latest album is Bon Vient check it out it's good
freakin awesome. this makes me wanna get up and dance. in fact, im home alone right now and my mom owns this cd and i just bumped it really loud and danced like no other. love it.
Lord have mercy. This Naija man is seriously in love with Loketo and other great guitarists - Dally, Lokassa, Nene, Ngouma, Diblo, etc. Music has no language barriers.
Much love to the singers too - Pepe (RIP), Aurlus, Kanda, Shimita, Ballou, Yondo, etc
this music is beutiful man i wish Blacks in United States made music like this . but the Blacks from The Carribean Coast of Colombia in South America play this kind of music they call it Champeta look it up it's basically Soukous and Makossa in spanish . big ups to Loketo from a Mexican Salvadoran from Oakland Califaz .
muthomi, the musicians and music industries relly did alot those days, not only african music but even the western, can you compare the music of today which portrays nothing but nothing with the music of that time, these newly born beginers will not undestand what we are talking about
masugu estes caciones de grupo de loketo ,astavas famozos en año mil novecientos noventa ok , es muy buena yo soy africano, mexicano, gracias por t comentaroi.
Diblo is " Matata , matata ya somo." Le soliste de notre temps. He is surely incontestable.
Check him out, he is alone and having fun. What a fun ! let me play in. He is choking to death dancers because they can't keep up with his style. He truly needs a challenge. Bye.
You misread my comment. It was MY first Loketo record. Soukous Trouble is a wonderful album. I saw these guys live around this time, what a mind-blowing show.
love diblo if I would name my guitarists I will put them in this order diblo, madoka, lokassa, shiko, nene, simaro lutumba, franco, just to name a few I am happy to say i have 2vhs for loketo and never getting tired of them. I miss those days in kenya listing to kbc playing ligala. Some of the finest guitar licks come from arlus music and loketo.
I grew up on this stuff, reminds me of nights in with the family, dancing round the house with my younger brother & sister shakin our waists with jumpers wrapped round them for added effect African Styleee
It's so good to be able to watch these videos again, true RAW musical talent.
soukousman thanx alot for this music. these were old days when dance loketo was fire to many discos acrooss east africa and beyond. diblo dibala obviously has been the best guitarist the world has ever produced. the group was just amazing. can they be back? i heard that diblo did perform with mabele recently. can someone confirm that? This is my alternative to zaiko langa langa(a band that still i cherise with their ungwasam dance style) anyway i am happy somebody posted diblos super k elswhere
honestly this song is the most hyped ive heard. having this song played before goin out partying makes me go crazy. im really starting to like this africa stuff.
One of the best if not the best super groups of the 90s.shukran for posting. These guys broke up because of the dominance of Aurlus who is originally from Congo-brazaville unlike the other guys
Although this clip shows Diblo with a Fender I think he prefers an Aria RS-750S, built in the early 1980s at the Matsumoku factory in Japan. Most of the times I have seen him in concert he has played the Aria.
Aurlus is just nuts and is a lot of fun to watch. At a concert in Seattle in around 1991 I happened to be in the front row dancing and Aurlus pulled me up on stage twice to boogie with their girl dancers. Hehehe...what a kick!
How is it that Diblo Dibala's guitar sounds like no other in the world? He's the reason I love Soukous and High Life. Well, along with Pepe-Kalle, Kanda Bongo Man, ...
