I have a greyhound! it never barks. ever. Ive never heard her bark and we have had her for 6 years. And also doesn't howl. But whines when left alone and will constantly search the house while we are gone looking for us. us of course being my family. but yes all the same. Loves going into cars but hates riding in it. she is afraid of other dogs. and is afraid of glass doors because it ran full speed into one and hit her head. So she didnt go out into the back yard for several months. -.- derp.

Several of my friends have had greyhounds, they're such great dogs! I'll probably end up adopting one someday. I'm allergic to dogs (along with pretty much everything else) but greyhounds don't seem to bother me as much, and anyway it would be worth the sneezing to have an awesome greyhound friend :3

My grandma had a greyhound named Brindee, she was the sweetest, most gentle, most chill dog I've ever come across. She was a retired racing dog and she had a stuffed pink elephant that she would sleep with. She was attacked by a dog who got off its leash and died at the vet from the anesthetic. I miss her <3

I have a greyhound:) his name is copper ( yes after the hound from the movie the fox and the hound) he is my best friend. I've had him for about 5 years now and he basically does everything your dog does (noise wise anyways) although he is part yellow lab his reaction to our house was a lot similar to how u described lemon's( he was a rescue dog, the set found him and his brother tied to a tree with no water or food) although he has grown quite accustom to us he is still scared of water lmao an

Looking at her race results she was'nt a bad dog. Did well in lower grades, couldn't compete in grade A, but not many can. Had 5 puppies 4 were race dogs, 1 still races.

I have a retired racing greyhound too ('Watchme Terra") I love how all greyhounds do the roach xD (also the twitching/eyes open while sleeping). Terra is about 10 years old now, and she's the best dog I could have ever hoped for. (Translation; I agree- GET A GREYHOUND...if you like)

Good for you for adopting a race dog...my family donates to friends of wolves in wisconsin. Its terrible how many animals are used as cute pets or beasts of burden or sport (pit bull fights are very common in l.a. where i live) but once they outgrow their cuteness or usefulness they are discarded or killed. You think your dog is a derp? We have a chocolate lab called Bob and he is crazy. He whines all the time for no reason. We will just be in the kitchen and he will just come out with a big MRRRERRRRRRR. And then if you scratch him behind the ear really hard he makes like MRRRUM Noises then proceeds to fall over. If you take him off the lead on a field then go 'ready bobby...GO GET THEM!!' he will run off in any direction and then turn round and come back to you without anything.
