Wow, this helped so much! Got a practical tomorrow over this. You made the different parts look so much more clear. This was so easy to understand. Thank you so much for posting!
This is a helpful and nicely done video, but a few things are misidentified. The brainstem ends with the edge of the cerebellum; the demonstrator mistakenly points to the spinal cord as part of the brainstem. The optic nerves are misidentified as optic tracts. Olfactory nerves are destroyed when a brain is removed from the cranium, and are not present on the isolated brain; what the demonstrator points to are the olfactory tracts.
Thanks for posting this! I have to do a Psychology Practical on Monday, and it's dissecting and labling the parts of the sheep brain. This really helped! I feel a lot more confident about passing now.
I have to do a sheep dissection lab soon in school, and I was so nervous for it.. but after watching this I got a lot more comfortable with the thought of dissecting a sheep brain. Thanks for the video! I salute your bravery.
Thank you so much! I was so scared because I needed to see the sheep brain one more time before i took my practicle, but you have posted this greeeat video to help me!! I can thankk you for my good grade! Yayyy! =)
Thank you soooooo much for posting this video..it was very understandable and very good..I like the way she explains it very nicely. I had precisely no clue of this until I hit upon this video. I should be able to ace this test which is due after thanksgiving. Many thanks to the ma'am who did a good job in explaining it.
science ERR!! its like too coplicating. This helped though, but i never plan on remembering or knowing those names. Man big scientists should get an award!
This viedo was a great help! This was a major help for my lab test. I think I learned more from this than I did from the teacher. That girl is good!!! Good job guys!
Vivisection is the dissection of LIVE animals. This is the brain of a sheep that is no longer alive, because it has no brain. Ergo, the sheep is dead, and this is DIssection. I think that you are the one with the sheep brain DAAAAAAAMMMMNN.
Hey sorry to bug everyone, I have an exam tomorrow like a bell ringer exam for the sheep brain, and I was wondering how did everyone study for this??? like how did anyone remember all the terms and where they were located
and dave...you need to get over it. its just a sheep. this is how we learn about human brains and how they work. this is how we find out whats wrong with humans to keep them alive. humans vs. sheep....i think i'd rather have humans be alive.

This is a sheep's brain? What's the purpose in looking at this thing? Sorry, I don't get it. Is it possible there are some politicians in America that have about the same sized brain as this? I'm an Anti-Vivisectionist so this video really disturbs me. I hope the animal had expired naturally before you chose to remove it's brain. Just my opinion. (keep this message up a couple months then take it down. Thank you.)

No.
For my lab class, we went outside to a sheep farm brutally beat them to death with a bat then took their brains. Some of them were still on the ground twitching in pain as we extracted their brains sawing through their sawbones.
Dave, people like you bother me. You don't want us dissecting animals to learn, but I'm sure you take the benefits of it. We can use animal parts to save a person's life and so much more. I'm sure if it was you or your family dying or sick you would have no problem with it. How do you think we learn about the human body? We've learned so many things from animals, it's amazing.
you saved my life! thank you!

Just to note that CN I is not the olfactory bulb (that's the olfactory tract) - CNI is in the input into the olfactory bulb.
