Just to note that CN I is not the olfactory bulb (that's the olfactory tract) - CNI is in the input into the olfactory bulb.

  • fantastic video

  • Wow, this helped so much! Got a practical tomorrow over this. You made the different parts look so much more clear. This was so easy to understand. Thank you so much for posting!

  • This is going to help me for my sheep brain practicum.

  • Thank you for posting!!

  • This is a helpful and nicely done video, but a few things are misidentified. The brainstem ends with the edge of the cerebellum; the demonstrator mistakenly points to the spinal cord as part of the brainstem. The optic nerves are misidentified as optic tracts. Olfactory nerves are destroyed when a brain is removed from the cranium, and are not present on the isolated brain; what the demonstrator points to are the olfactory tracts.

  • ew thats just sick

  • This is great stuff, thanks a lot, you were so absolutely useful!!!

  • Thanks for posting this! I have to do a Psychology Practical on Monday, and it's dissecting and labling the parts of the sheep brain. This really helped! I feel a lot more confident about passing now.

  • helped me with my final! thank you!

  • Thanks for this! I didn't want to dissect a brain myself for ethical reasons, but seeing one that's already done is very helpful!

  • I have to do a sheep dissection lab soon in school, and I was so nervous for it.. but after watching this I got a lot more comfortable with the thought of dissecting a sheep brain. Thanks for the video! I salute your bravery.

  • Thank you soooooo much for posting this video..it was very understandable and very good..I like the way she explains it very nicely. I had precisely no clue of this until I hit upon this video. I should be able to ace this test which is due after thanksgiving. Many thanks to the ma'am who did a good job in explaining it.

  • science ERR!! its like too coplicating. This helped though, but i never plan on remembering or knowing those names. Man big scientists should get an award!

  • thanks a lot for posting this video.

it's a great help for my study. ;P

  • thanks a bunch!!! you saved my grade

  • This viedo was a great help! This was a major help for my lab test. I think I learned more from this than I did from the teacher. That girl is good!!! Good job guys!

  • When she mentions the third ventricle, that is the wrong place for it.

  • you are wrong

  • I'm a medieval enthusiast, so you can tell where my interests lie. I'm not much into science, obviously.

  • then why are you watching this?

  • I Passed A&P!!!!!with a good grade!!! thanks to all the people who post these great videos, I wish I knew about this my freshman semester ....

  • I thought this tutorial was even better than having the teacher stand next to me IN class! Great job!

  • Wow this girl is good. Either this is her second time taking the class or she has one heck of a memory.

  • @Dave

    You are an anti-vivisectionist?

Vivisection is the dissection of LIVE animals. This is the brain of a sheep that is no longer alive, because it has no brain. Ergo, the sheep is dead, and this is DIssection. I think that you are the one with the sheep brain DAAAAAAAMMMMNN.

  • Thank you so much for you help i have a quiz today this help me a lot.

  • Hey sorry to bug everyone, I have an exam tomorrow like a bell ringer exam for the sheep brain, and I was wondering how did everyone study for this??? like how did anyone remember all the terms and where they were located

  • Thank you this was very helpful keep up the good work.

  • Why is that so disgusting?

  • XD yayyyy

this was the one dissection i was not sure about cuz i missed part of it and there are so many terms to memorize.thank you!

  • very helpful...i wish i would i watched this before i disectied our brain

  • and dave...you need to get over it. its just a sheep. this is how we learn about human brains and how they work. this is how we find out whats wrong with humans to keep them alive. humans vs. sheep....i think i'd rather have humans be alive.

  • THANK YOU!!!!! i thought i was screwed for my quiz until i saw this!! thanks!!

  • This is the best sheep brain demo on YouTube! Thanks for making this!

  • thank you so much for this

this will most diffenetly save my grade

  • Dave, people like you bother me. You don't want us dissecting animals to learn, but I'm sure you take the benefits of it. We can use animal parts to save a person's life and so much more. I'm sure if it was you or your family dying or sick you would have no problem with it. How do you think we learn about the human body? We've learned so many things from animals, it's amazing.

  • good point there...hard to argue with that.

  • i watched this over and over and looked over my notes the night before my exam and i totally aced it... (i only studied the night before)

SOOO great job! it's the best full demo sheep brain i've seen on youtube!

  • thank you so much, this is helpful for my lab practical.

  • i dissected a sheeps' brain last year in school

  • this is a great help, thanks!

  • thanks for posting. it's very helpful
