My interpretation of the video is that the flowers and stuff are the things that were precious to Trent Reznor during the time his grandmother was alive ( the song is abt the death of his grandmother - RIP) and that the black snake symbolises death or maybe a new begining for him since its like "shedding old skin". this is the version from the "Still" Album. the Quiet Version is the basis on which this version evolved, however this version contains more of an atmospheric and relaxed sound. they are both quite good tho, i recommend them both. as the quiet version has additional vocals by Kim Prevost who is a black female jazz artist in her mid 40's.
