Jacob is the second son of Isaac just as Jesus claims to be the 'begotten' or second Son of God. The first 'created' son of God was Adam who was thrown out of paradise which was Gods perfect plan for mankind.

Yep, unfortunate that goes ignored. It was clearly the Israelites who were asking the Lord, "how have you loved US?" Us, as in the nation of Israel, so God answers them in a way they would understand, by comparing Jacob and Esau. God didn't hate Esau as we think of hate, He just loved Jacob more and continued to show Israel that until Jesus came and the promise of salvation was offered to all who would believe and obey.
He doesnt mention once that Paul is quoting from Malachi 1. It is quite obvious from Malachi 1, that it is talking about the nations of Israel (Jacob) and Edom (Esau). It is not election to salvation but election of a nation through which God would bless all nations and through whom the Messiah would come. This is Gods sovereign choice. If it was election to salvation every single descendant of Jacobs would be saved (which is obviously not true) and every single descendant of Esau is lost.
It says before that verse, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that Gods purpose in election might stand: not by works but by him who calls..The older will serve the younger. .God chose Jacob (the individual) as the one to inheret the spiritual blessing and be the Father of the nation through which the promises to Abraham would be fulfilled. This is evident from history and what was written hundreds of years later in Malachi about the 2 nations.
Please note that nowhere in the Genesis account of Jacob and Esau does it say that God hated Esau. Those words were only written hundreds of years later in Malachi and are obviously refering to the nation of Edom, and I believe has much to do with the way they treated Israel. Numbers 20, Judges 11

Verse 24 in my English version ends in a question mark. It leaves me with the impression that in all of his explanations Paul is asking us to consider - "And what if .." (v.22). The laugher (patriotsfan), can explain why the apostle himself used the word "mystery" a number of times in his letters in which he explained much about God's operations.

This indicates to me that Paul did not know everything and left the issue opened for our limited speculation. Romans 9:22,23 does not leave me with the impression that Paul was 100% sure about issues of predestination and election IMO ... What if ...?

What makes Christians so angry when another Christian states that it is God who draws someone to Him, gives them a heart of flesh and declares them His? I think this idea reveals the heart of man that fights against the notion that they can not dictate to God the terms of their salvation and it flies in the face of a worldly view that says unconditional love is just a concept, it's not real. Jacob is the second son of Isaac just as Jesus claims to be the 'begotten' or second Son of God. The first 'created' son of God was Adam who was thrown out of paradise which was Gods perfect plan for mankind.
So, symbolically, the first sons are hated but the second sons are loved.

"Loved" simply means that God formed a covenant w/ Jacob. It simply meant that the priestly authority of the head priesthood of Isaac past to Jacob w/ the blessing. It is only repeating what was described in the Genesis story. God preserved His covenant through the line of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. In other words, Jacob had the office of priest, Esau did not. This why Jacob sees the Shekinah @ Bethel. God goes w/ Jacob. It is an account of ancient patrilinear priesthood. That is all.

Gen. 25;27 says that Jacob was a "plain" man. Plain is translated upright elsewhere. Also, he was always obedient to his parents. He was forced to deceive his father.

Yep, unfortunate that goes ignored. It was clearly the Israelites who were asking the Lord, "how have you loved US?" Us, as in the nation of Israel, so God answers them in a way they would understand, by comparing Jacob and Esau. God didn't hate Esau as we think of hate, He just loved Jacob more and continued to show Israel that until Jesus came and the promise of salvation was offered to all who would believe and obey.

He doesnt mention once that Paul is quoting from Malachi 1. It is quite obvious from Malachi 1, that it is talking about the nations of Israel (Jacob) and Edom (Esau). It is not election to salvation but election of a nation through which God would bless all nations and through whom the Messiah would come. This is Gods sovereign choice. If it was election to salvation every single descendant of Jacobs would be saved (which is obviously not true) and every single descendant of Esau is lost.

It says before that verse, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that Gods purpose in election might stand: not by works but by him who calls..The older will serve the younger. .God chose Jacob (the individual) as the one to inheret the spiritual blessing and be the Father of the nation through which the promises to Abraham would be fulfilled. Well I'd expect to hear something like that come from people like you. If you take a look at history you'll see that the tribe of Esau has done more evil than anyother tribe on the whole earth. Plus the synagogue of satan [Askenazi] did come out of Esau.

Red neck?? You need to read Romans 9:24. Most of the Epistles deal with GENTILE churches! Are you REALLY going to take Scripture and tear it apart with emotion fueled self righteousness? The nation of Israel today is the REAL ISRAEL! Yes God's covenant people are throughout the world as well, but the literal nation of Israel is in fact Israel. Don't take the dispensation out of context like the others always do please.

you apparently don't read your bible, 'cause if you would have you would know how he has come to understanding of the genealogy. Why don't you, for your own edification, read Deuteronomy 28:15-68 and ask yourself "what recognizable peoples that I know of have these curses happen to?" And then either fulfill your role or learn to Help Israelites, for such is your USE!
