Has anyone considered the shockwave that must have occurred from a fucking airplane hitting a building? as in a huge, well-designed building designed to resonate all of the weight of itself outward? There is nothing abnormal about this loud sound and impacts breaks windows. I can speak from experience when in 1988 the PEPCON plant in Nevada exploded, it was 5 miles away from my house and it still broke the whole back door glass window.

as far as the wind swaying the towers, they were equipped with a very sophisticated anti-sway system and the wind would not affect the building to the point where the glass would fail. But, the massive impact of the jet would not have been cancelled by the anti-sway system.And jet fuel did go down some of the elevator shafts and caused explosions that shattered the marble walls in the lobbies.

Except that since the 50's it's required code in the US that elevators shafts are staggered in tall buildings, there is no single shaft that goes all the way up and down to prevent fires or explosions from spreading throughout the building.
So you say that someone has put a bomb in WTC lobby. Every policeman and most of the fire fighters in the world are capable of telling immediately wheather it was a bomb or not when they see a blast zone. C4, the most common explosive for every radical organisation or special government agency, scorches the place down and is a great fire starter. @randomtrader1 First off, the buildings had a certain amount of pressure they could take before swaying, (pressure in terms of PSI). The plane was going at a speed of approximately 100 MPH (rough estimation) the planes hit around the 70th floor, and the nose of the plane hit the building. at the point of contact, the pressure was greatest, but as time went on (very slowly) the speed of the plane slowed, slightly, but the surface area of the impact zone went up, decreasing pressure significantly.
@randomtrader1 Secondly, the planes that impacted the building hit a different times. if they hit at roughly the same time, and the same area on the building, the destruction to the building would much greater. I don't how much pressure is needed, but I do know that it is significantly more than the wind is needed to sway the towers beyond the normal threshold.

I. the shockwave caused by the impact spread down the tower to the lobby floors.
II. the movement of the steel the frame above must of budged beyond what the glass could contort to.
If the upper floors windows was not blown out, then shockwave/swaying caused the windows to be shattered, if the upper floors did lose the windows, then I raise the red flag on explosive use.

There were 91 elevator cables that had been severed by the impact. All elevators but one, did manage to stop by their auto brake systems. That single elevator had a malfunction in it's auto brakes and it slammed down so fast that the elevator doors at the gound level were blown olen. This caused great havoc in the lobby. Yes it sounded like a bomb and the damage was just like as if a bomb had gone off. There would be fire if it was a bomb and the proffesional crew there would have noticed it.

Witnesses saw people coming out of lifts burnt.

There are lots of things in a big fire like that that sound like or are explosions. The elevator shafts were purposely staggered so a chimney effect in either direction could not occur from an explosion in one section only. The plane explosion or fuel could not reach the lobby through elevators.

Did he say that he was using magical glass that can withstand an airplane strike? I've heard of safety glass, but there is a limit to how strong you can make something that fragile. When a building is hit by something with excessive force, its options are to tilt over until it breaks or allow the shockwave to pass into the ground, and when that happens less-flexible materials like glass will break, but the _support beams_ will still have a shot at staying, unless weakened by something like fire.

There is nothing abnormal about this loud sound and impacts breaks windows. I can speak from experience when in 1988 the PEPCON plant in Nevada exploded, it was 5 miles away from my house and it still broke the whole back door glass window.

The anti-sway systems were extremely heavy and did not contribute to the strength of the building, in fact their huge weight added to the pounding effect of the building as it fell. It was only meant to prevent sway.

as far as the wind swaying the towers, they were equipped with a very sophisticated anti-sway system and the wind would not affect the building to the point where the glass would fail. But, the massive impact of the jet would not have been cancelled by the anti-sway system.And jet fuel did go down some of the elevator shafts and caused explosions that shattered the marble walls in the lobbies.

Except that since the 50's it's required code in the US that elevators shafts are staggered in tall buildings, there is no single shaft that goes all the way up and down to prevent fires or explosions from spreading throughout the building.

@randomtrader1 First off, the buildings had a certain amount of pressure they could take before swaying, (pressure in terms of PSI). The plane was going at a speed of approximately 100 MPH (rough estimation) the planes hit around the 70th floor, and the nose of the plane hit the building. at the point of contact, the pressure was greatest, but as time went on (very slowly) the speed of the plane slowed, slightly, but the surface area of the impact zone went up, decreasing pressure significantly.

@randomtrader1 Secondly, the planes that impacted the building hit a different times. if they hit at roughly the same time, and the same area on the building, the destruction to the building would much greater. I don't how much pressure is needed, but I do know that it is significantly more than the wind is needed to sway the towers beyond the normal threshold.

I. the shockwave caused by the impact spread down the tower to the lobby floors.
II. the movement of the steel the frame above must of budged beyond what the glass could contort to.
If the upper floors windows was not blown out, then shockwave/swaying caused the windows to be shattered, if the upper floors did lose the windows, then I raise the red flag on explosive use.

There were 91 elevator cables that had been severed by the impact. All elevators but one, did manage to stop by their auto brake systems. That single elevator had a malfunction in it's auto brakes and it slammed down so fast that the elevator doors at the gound level were blown olen. This caused great havoc in the lobby. Yes it sounded like a bomb and the damage was just like as if a bomb had gone off. There would be fire if it was a bomb and the proffesional crew there would have noticed it.

Easy. The building moved back and forth violently from the impact. The top of the building moved, the bottom was fixed to the ground, so the widow frames bent and the windows shattered.

@Xendrius I never said the concrete cracked in the lobby. The building flexed back and forth after impact. Witnesses said their office windows had slightly altered views. The building moved, the foudations couldn't. At that point, ground level, the building DEFORMED most. Cracked windows and tyles popped off the wall. Fuel Fireballs went down liftshafts. Witnesses saw people coming out of lifts burnt.

There are lots of things in a big fire like that that sound like or are explosions. The fire started at one point and moved thru the building, rather than five whole floors lit instantly across all floor space. Also, it did not have a 120 tonne airliner hit it at 9/10s the speed of sound. And STILL the Windsor tower DID have large internal collapses. Wanna spout any more balls?

@TorresProductionz it may be steel but the plane weights well over 14 tons and the explosion had fire shooting up to well over hundred feet into the high so with both the planes weight and how colossal the explosion was the building could have bent easily
also the build sway back and forth even when window blows its a fact. it only a little can't tell if ur in the build or looking at it but it just a small amount. but if wind can move it i'm shure something as big as a plane and explosion can.

The elevator shafts were protected from the chimney effect from explosions. These firemen later also opened an elevator door and saved a bunch of uninjured people.This is from the Naudet film.
The glass was definitely blown outward here..

@fube432 Willie Rodriguez, the janitor-hero, that saved many lives that day, and at least two other witnesses claim the explosion in the basement-lobby occurred 6-8 seconds before the jet impact explosion. They clearly heard both explosions. Please look up Willie.
The elevator shafts were purposely staggered so a chimney effect in either direction could not occur from an explosion in one section only. The plane explosion or fuel could not reach the lobby through elevators.

thanks for your concerns, actually no im not clueless. the buildings were designed to withstand constant pressure from HIGH winds etc. the planes hitting the buildings were LESS pressure than the constant high winds and the doors closing etc. the building had to be designed strong enough that if ALL the doors closed at the same time, it wouldnt 'blow out the lobby'....
