You're not REQUIRED to have an EMT-P in Florida. Required is First Responder. But it's RECOMMENDED to have at least an EMT-Basic, if you get your EMT-P even better, but not required

i am in 10th grade and im in a program with mt fire dept called the explorers see if your fd has that it trains you early and you are considered a fire fighter

today's day firefighters in Florida are required to have their EMT/PARAMEDIC CERTIFICATION which is what i am currently acheiving.. whish you very good luck.. BE SAFE !!

i just joined as a volunteer and im a senior at high school..i would advise you find a volunteer department and join to see if you like it, i like it its fun

dose your city have a Jr. firefighter pro. if it dose you should join that. you get hands on training, you go with them on fire calls. that would help increase your chances.

Get your EMT-Basic and eventually Paramedic, Military helps (but you don't need it), volunteer.

well after high school you can do what i did and go into college for entry level firefighter and do emt-b too.. and in high school i wish i woulda done more ride alongs with career departments and been on a volunteer department. but theirs different ways to do it i guess... but its a great career, never give up

She did a good job, some people have a real problem with claustrophobia and having gear and breathing air if your not use to it makes it even harder.

I start our RIT training on the 22nd and I cant WAIT!!!!!!!!
