hi tim i have a question ive been wanting to ask you regarding your simpsons berkely, i was wondering how it performs as a face latherer and does it hold enough lather for a 3 pass shave if so desired, ive been thinking about adding one to my rotation and for 50 bucks you cant hardly beat it for a simpson, i know you realy like yours and ive probably seen you face lather with it but i cant recall, thanks for another great video,
@hoskins1100 It'll hold enough for 4 or 5 passes easily if you're not going for super thick on the face. There are videos of me face-lathering the beast, but I'll do one for you with Razorock. That thought makes me want to shave right now.
Tim, I'm convinced you don't need to shave, and you don't actually put a blade in your razor! Your face never looks any different at the end of a shave than it does at the start.. Haha.
@tommyrazzleisback Yeah, my stubble really doesn't grow quick in the course of a day. A day and a half and you can easily tell though. It's not dense growth, but it is coarse and hard as hell, lol.
...whats your opinion on Pre-Shave Oil? I know most people either swear by it, or call it out as pointless rubbish...Also, if you happen to know, do you think theres a difference between a branded pre shave oil, and say, regular old olive oil? I know there are physical differences, but I mean as a pre-shave...or you can talk about that tube receiver again ;)...
@afterbirth04 Pre-shave oil for me doesn't do much more than the softening soap I've been using once in a while. It does however play an important part in maintaining my prep while I get dressed and ready to record. I've only used some pretty cheap Erasmic oil though. There is a difference between olive oil. Lots of recipes and discussion about oils at B&B. My dad's is a Marantz 1060 in the wood cab. I want it so badly.
