    ERIK TIELMAN, FLORIDADADADAA

  • this song isnt long enough it deserves more time

  • @stevethedrums: My husband has been a professional musician for over 35 years and I asked him. I don't want to argue or go back and forth over this, but he says he's never heard saxophones called "brass section." Trumpets, sax, etc., have collectively been called the winds, but never brass. You can argue this point, but since my hubby's played Radio City Music Hall, among other places, I'm more inclined to go with his expertise. :)

  • Wow! One of Rock and Roll's all time greats!!

  • ad majorem R&B Imperator gloriam!

  • he wants to eat josephine

you know what fat people are like

    they like to eat

  • a true music icon,love his stuff..

  • who is this two persones who dont like this? I just ask-

  • @gullhjertet Maybe because it's too short. Why do people watch a video if they don't like it?

  • @FTJAX--I only see 1 brass (trumpet) the rest are woodwinds (saxophones).

  • @inktomni Hi, in bands (and yes I am in a band) the trumpets, (trom)bones and sax(aphones) are collectively known as "The Brass (section)", although they are technically woodwind instruments because they use a reed to produce the sound but are rarely if ever made of wood. Funny old world ain't it !!!!

  • It's IMPOSSIBLE to listen to Fat's music & sit still......MORE, MORE !

  • @ftjax

Damn, you're right. I was listening to this in the middle of maths class and I couldn't resist the urge to boogie.

To this day, everyone looks at me oddly. Darn you, Fats Domino, and your fantastic music.

  • sss

  • Queen Ida dose this cover the best

  • There's a version of this song that is my favorite marching cadence. Sounds really different from I'm used to but I still like this guy's style.

  • Woo woo woo : )

  • He's such a jolly soul...it's after midnight here & just wanted to experience Fats music...oh my god I wish the horn men woud stay on longer...what a brass section !

  • Like Elvis said. Fats Domino was the King. Just love the music. The early rock and rollers loved each other and hoped like heck that it all continued.

  • @fiftysal2 Too bad it had to end. I try to tell these young guys that "rock" is NOT rock n roll. Original rock n roll was a simple, innocent, yet complete and had a distinct sound all of its own. Nothing like rock which came afterward beginning with the 70's bands. Oh, well, I have my memories . . .

  • ça déchire et vive le bon rock

  • this song reminds me of my sis josie r.i.p sis

  • An icon; an incredible musician. I had the pleasure of chatting with Fats at Al Hirt's Club in New Orleans, back in the early summer of 1967. A true gentleman with a sly, shy sense of humour. ¡Salud, Fats!

  • Fats is one of the 2 or 3 best entertainers that I have ever seen in my life. Sorry I've never gotten to see him live. We had tickets to see him once, but he cancelled his appearance, and was replaced by Junior Walker. Not quite the same.

  • iloveyouemily- I saw Fats Domino a few years back- He sounds exactly the same on his records and his band was fantastic. He was on a bill with Jerry Lee Lewis, and I have to say that Fats put on a better show that night.

  • Nobody have KARISMA like Fats

  • he was thinking of Napoleon

  • I am blessed to have grown up where he has. Such amazing talent. There's also a phenomenal zydeco version by Keith Frank. I highly recommend it!

  • My father wrote this song! It was a poem for his girlfriend, Josephine when he was 16! He sent the song into a competition and was accepted. He couldnt afford the copyright costs so sold his rights to the song and Fats Domino bought the rights from my dad for $600! My dad was issued a gold record, but didn't receive any royalties or credit!

  • Did your dad write anything else.

    Rod
