Special, to hear this one played with Pierre van der Linden on drums. He seems to show how it should be done! Much more lively and creative than the version with drummer Colin Allen, who replaced Van der Linden in the seventies.
I was lucky enough to be at the Dublin concert in Nov '06, Same lineup almost, 'cept for the guitarist but Neils is somethin' else! Saw the original youthful Focus on a Thursday in April 1973 in Dublin - 2 days before they did the Rainbow Theatre in London. Focus are so european I love'em, Vive Focus toujours!
This is well played by the whole band. Focus music is challenging to play. The drumming seems to be going latin. The guitarist is a sensation and is well up to the mark and Van Leer is playing as well as ever. Awesome. So where are the bands that are taking up where Focus left off in the seventies? What happened to the 80's and 90's? Anyone know?
A bit unfair on the Focus band, because I'm sure they would have liked to have been responsible for the quality control of their material. Not someone with a video recording off their mobile telephone. This young guitarist is a sensation.
I love this band, just love it

Thats just Tijs Van Leer, no Ackerman... but I like it all the same... this is a Leer's tune... very imediate and pure
