Hi and thanks for your kind words. I'll be doing some videos in the future and probably with some higher gain sounds too. I'm not overly familiar with Greg Howe's sound but I can't see any reason why the amp wouldn't be able to get his tone or at least close to it. Cheers, Pete
@kou2917 Hi there - the case was bought s/h off eBay and I think it was originally made by a company called Spider. I'm sorry that I don't have much more info than that. It's a good case though and it was pretty easy to get everything on board including the GS. Thanks very much for your kind words too! Cheers, Pete
very nice!!! what do you think about the decimator pedal compared to noise/gate of the G system? i have a mark v with your same pedalboard (red version too) and when i use the effects on channel 3 (hig gain) i can listen the noise under the notes (it's not a typical ground noise), so do you reccomend me the decimator to remove this tipe of noise or not? (i use 4 cable method) THANK YOU VERY MOUCH
Thanks very much for your kind words. The Decimator is a really great pedal, although recently I've been using it less and less, the more I've been working on getting all the levels correct between the GS and the amp which seemed to cure most noise issues for me. The GS gate is actually pretty good too but given a choice, I would definitely prefer the Decimator as it is by far the best unit I've ever used for noise reduction.
I have a similar set up [ the ca od se 100 + with the g system, ]. I've had some major headaches with tone loss, and lags between patches, have you experienced this...and solved it?
Hi there...sorry to hear that you've had these problems. I haven't had them myself thankfully. Btw...have you checked out the Laird Williams set up guide for the G System?..it really saved the day for me. If you haven't come across it, then let me know and I'll send you the link to download it. It's a real lifesaver! Cheers, Pete
@Pete130662 yes I've read most of the White paper, but it would seem there is nothing you can do about lag between patches. do you not get this at all? do you use an AMp Gizmo, for seemless changes?
@wilcey Hey there, I also use the G system, but with a Bogner XTC. If you're having lag issues, have you checked your firmware version? I have the 4.02 version and the lag is very minimal, virtually not noticeable. I'd give that a check if you haven't already. Good luck solving this issue!
@wilcey Start patches using the B9 all bypass patch. I was having lag troubles and used this patch as the basis to build my own patches, and it took away. I'm going into a diezel herbert via midi, so I'm not sure about relay switching. I find a little tone difference, but not much and not enough to bother me , and run through the Serial loop. I set input gain at six and adjusted the output by plugging and unplugging the loop return until the levels matched. Hope this might help you.
I haven't tried those other amps, but I'm very happy indeed with this amp and it covers pretty much all I need tone-wise. I don't think you will be disappointed with it! It's fabulous!
Hi Pete. I see you use FV500. Is it the H or L? I bought the H for use it as Exp Pedal on my G-system, but it only affect 51% of the parameters in the different effects. Can you help me? How do you set it?
Hi, I use the FV500H's for both expression and general volume duties. I had a similar problem myself initially but sorted it by using a Y cable on both pedals and setting the GS to 'see' both pedals as a 'volume' pedal. This should work but if it doesn't there is a really good and cheap cable that I can recommend that will give you full range of the pedal. Cheers Pete
Yaaah! I really like this special lead-tone ... coming sometimes like a kind of mouth-blown-instrument (oboe?) ... superb backing-track, cool groove and feeling! 10 'custom' stars minimum, of course! ;-))
reminds me of greg howe, very fusion. nice tone ! I was hoping for slighty more gain at soms points though.
Do you think this amp could nail greg howe's tone ?

Hi, No I haven't had any issues like this. I'm just using the G System for all changes etc. maybe ask Laird on the TC Forum?... Thanks Pete

I am very close to buying the PT100..how would you rate it against other great switchers like Bogner 101b, VH4..etc..?

@Pete130662 Just out of interest-does it come with a footswitch for no extra charge?
CRANKYONE100 1 year ago
Hi, Yes it does come with a footswitch.
Pete130662 1 year ago
@Pete130662 And is the series effect loop standard on it too?
CRANKYONE100 1 year ago
Yes, it is as far as I know. Mine certainly came with a series loop.
Pete130662 1 year ago
@CRANKYONE100 I would have had a hard time choosing between a Diezel Herbert and a Suhr/CAE PT-100.... Maybe a PT-100.
