Stealing someone's pet is wrong, but that doesn't change the very plain and simple fact that no matter how "cute" or "majestic" horses may be, there's NO reason why the production, sale, purchase, consumption or possession of horse meat should be any more illegal than cow, pig, or chicken meat is. @cn012891pat Save the fact that it isn't healthier as American horses are in fact pumped full of drugs labeled "Not intended for animals meant for human consumption". You biggest concern is the de-wormers as well as phenylbutazone aka bute. Horses receive both of those drugs on a regular basis (bute is horse aspirin and is toxic to people). If the horses were raised to be eaten by people then that would be a different story on the quality of meat.
