You can tell that the majority of people who watch The Tudors are not well-informed. They soak up the events on the show -- which are loosely based on the sources which was recorded during those times by ambassadors -- and take it as true history. History is written by the winners, but not every winner is honest. Look at Mary Stuart's enemies; they won by blackening her reputation but she redeemed her honor by dying bravely and today's monarchy stating their claim is through her.
I love Anne fans, don't you? They're so extremely clueless and immature. They obviously don't read good history books nor do they have decent sources. Anne was a cunt and a half and she was well-known to be a snake in the grass at the English court. (continued) Henry's cruelty to Katherine and Mary was already devastating and shellshocked the whole of Europe at his irrationality and spite. Anne didn't need to add her wrong towards them. Instead, she further diminished her honor and looked at Henry to give her the okay to further dishonor a pair of royal women who were so far above her she envied their status. Right, If Henry had been a better husband and father and not used Protestant teachings to ruin her and Catherines lives Mary probably would have had no reason see the Protestant faith as a threat and been more tolorant. She might have married earlier (Maybe someone better then Phillip) had the children she wanted, gotten her throne earlier and had just as much success as Elizabeth, especially if Catherine had lived longer and had more time to instruct and guide her.
Hey, I admire Elizabeth too, though Mary is the one I sympathize most with in this case. Perhaps if things had gone better for her she might have been better herself, and had as much success as Elizabeth. And don't forget, all Mary had to do was snap her fingers and Liz could have wound up just like Anne while Mary Stuert would have been heir, but instead Mary left Liz the throne. If anything, Mary set a foundation for Elizabeth.

Anne made an enemy of Mary the moment she tried to get her to renounce herself and her own mother.
That didn't happen face to face but words are real. They exchanged messages in 1534 (words used here) and in 1536 when Anne was almost doomed. In this second ocassion Anne turned to Mary in desperation, looking for help seeing herself lost. She wanted Mary to accept her as Queen.
Did they exchange letters? I have read a few books mentioning that at the end Anne sent word to Mary through Lady Kingston that she was sorry for her treatment towards Mary. It would be interesting if any such letters survive.

You can tell that the majority of people who watch The Tudors are not well-informed. They soak up the events on the show -- which are loosely based on the sources which was recorded during those times by ambassadors -- and take it as true history. History is written by the winners, but not every winner is honest. Look at Mary Stuart's enemies; they won by blackening her reputation but she redeemed her honor by dying bravely and today's monarchy stating their claim is through her.

(continued) Henry's cruelty to Katherine and Mary was already devastating and shellshocked the whole of Europe at his irrationality and spite. Anne didn't need to add her wrong towards them. Instead, she further diminished her honor and looked at Henry to give her the okay to further dishonor a pair of royal women who were so far above her she envied their status. Right, If Henry had been a better husband and father and not used Protestant teachings to ruin her and Catherines lives Mary probably would have had no reason see the Protestant faith as a threat and been more tolorant. She might have married earlier (Maybe someone better then Phillip) had the children she wanted, gotten her throne earlier and had just as much success as Elizabeth, especially if Catherine had lived longer and had more time to instruct and guide her.

Hey, I admire Elizabeth too, though Mary is the one I sympathize most with in this case. Perhaps if things had gone better for her she might have been better herself, and had as much success as Elizabeth. And don't forget, all Mary had to do was snap her fingers and Liz could have wound up just like Anne while Mary Stuert would have been heir, but instead Mary left Liz the throne. If anything, Mary set a foundation for Elizabeth.

That didn't happen face to face but words are real. They exchanged messages in 1534 (words used here) and in 1536 when Anne was almost doomed. In this second ocassion Anne turned to Mary in desperation, looking for help seeing herself lost. She wanted Mary to accept her as Queen.

Lo peor fue que en la mente del pueblo inglés quedó que Felipe II y los catolicos eran los responsables. Las historia demuestra que no fue así.
