I have a very good chaos army that would destory this guys army he made it so weak i would never even use spawns they suck... he needs to have stronger units i have chosen knights and warriors that kick ass and chariots of chaos are the best because of the scythed wheels, i use tzzentch sorcerers too.

@DragonMagi do what ever you like, i have fun when i have an army that has a chance rather than an army that will get annihilated. And it wont be the best army evah because 90% is the player and not the models, if your good enough you can win with what ever your heart desires.

I'm starting Warriors of Chaos for Fantasy and I want to make a strong 2000-point list, or maybe even more. Would Archaon be a good choice or just a waste of a whole chunk of points?

@RepublicCustoms Archaon is horrendously nasty in the current list... but he's also horribly expensive points-wise. He can dish out an incredible amount of hurt. I would personally use him, but I've heard the argument that named characters in general don't tend to be worth the points you pay for them. It's up to you really, but I for one would use him if I had the points to do so

@RepublicCustoms yes archaon is too may points for 2000 use a chaos dragon they are very good, 2 breath attacks and 6 t 6 w 6s, not galrauch. just mount your lord on one. I use tzeentch because of the magic really like it very good spells, plus i enchant my units giving me plus 1 power and dispel dice. But ive seen good nurgle magic and fighting because if gives units fear thats really good when charging with chariots. You have to decicde which god is the best i liek slaneesh too.

Ahh, reminds me of years back when my buddies & I played Fantasy every Saturday. My Chaos army was just too much for the poor "squishy" Empire and Elf troops that dared to face them! :-)

Help: Whenever I'm playing Warriors of Chaos and use Mark of Nurgle it seems near useless against any close combat unit. However it really helps against archers. Any advice on how to use it effectively for the former?

I play 40k and have never really been interested in Fantasy. My friend reckons Fantasy is more strategic whilst 40k is more of a slugfest. I suppose the main thing is to have fun. Thinking about doing Dark Elves.

First off I doubt maine is a 11 hour drive, my bro went up to canada to visit friends (drove) and it only took him 7 hours from CT.

Second, proxy means you use a model in place of another one, say i didn't have goblin fanatic but i have one in my list so I used a 40k gretchin to represent a fanatic when i play.

Proxying is ok I think, if you just want to test an army you never played with to see what minis you gotta buy...this hobby is freakin expensive, you should always test before buying some shit you´ll never put an a table....my english is crappy I´m sorry xD

i dont know why, but i dont like proxying. i like counts as, like popping a crozarius like staff on a marine with a pistol for a chaplain, but not skeletons for merauders.

I have a question about warhammer 40k games, are they always played on 4x6 tables? are 4x8 tables not as good?

Also do you always deploy on the longer side of the table? (like the side that is 6ft or 8ft long and not the side that is 4ft)

the answer to the first question is no. games can be played on 4x4, 4x6,4x8,or6x8 tables for standard games, thoguh most people play 4x4 or 4x6. the second question about playing side. read the rules book dude, it tells you where to set up for each mission.

oh wow, your lucky like crazy dude, i only have a ping pong table i play on. i have a 4x4 foam board, but it has warped within the past 7 months of use, and so i am going to replace it with 4 2x2 pieces of plywood with sand and grass on them. im also gonna get 4 other 2x2s and make things like lakes, marshes, or trenches in addition to movable terrain like forrests, hills, and buildings. glad i could help dude.
