It's still a cover, The Specials covered Dandy Livingstone, the original version was recorded in the 60's, most of the Special's better songs were covers. They were still great regardless, this is a great find, would have loved to been there.

rudy is not a specific person. It's an abbreviation for rudeboys. They were originally young men who were unhappy with the social and political situation in jamaica. They dressed like the upperclass(suits, porkpies)as a mockery. The term was later changed somewhat when the thrid wave of ska came around, and it sort of meant a rudeboy or girl was anyone who liked ska. Keep skanking!
