  • It's the ultimate...

  • Comment removed

  • I remember having mates round for a little LSD get together and showing them this.

It was well impressive in it's day.

  • Awesome

  • i was 13 when i first got this on a fred fish comp (PD) now 33, man where the time gone, still sounds a fresh as the day i first heard it, just goes to show amigas really were ahead of their time !

  • Great Work!! I Remember This On The A1200 In The Early 90's, Good Times, Good Music Also. :))

  • my copy is corrupted so glad someone has finaly posted it here, its a 20 year time warp :D

  • I think the music is Echo/LSD - Lived near me in Exeter...

    Spoonwiard now...

Classic demo... so many memories :)

  • Aggghhh!! The two little boys aren't home at the moment. So now what do I do?!?

  • @RensterUK

find some other kids for a threesome?

  • Hands down the best Amiga demo

  • Div!! Just read the bit that says part1 der Rolf is on part 2!!!

God how I loved my Amiga days. Good memories good times.

  • Didn't this have a Rolf Harris Sample in it somewhere...G'day...G'day....G'day.....Rolf Here...

  • haha, sweet memories...

think the first time I got stoned was to this >.>

  • This inspired me to make Jesus on peas !

  • wow brings mem back in place, thnx for the upload

  • Freaking awesome !!!

  • I love this since it showed up on Amiga - this and BASS are nr 1

  • Man i wish i was 18 again! This is why I got into this music many moons ago, I first saw on my friends Atari ST haha!!. Still sounds as fresh as the day I first heard it! Absolutely blindingly EPIC!!

  • EPIC!!!

  • 5:00 into it is taken from about 2:30 into the kriss kross - jump video hehe

  • In your thoughts the beats slow down!!!

  • Suddenly I'm 18 again...

  • you can find the website of the very talented Echo who did the music for this, or SpoonWizard as he is known as now by searching for spoonwizard in google

He has all the music he made for the amiga and some of his newer stuff on there. he is a legend. go check it out.

  • @xsessivmc: That was my favorite part too! You know, I'm from Holland and I think that bit of music from the Muppets never aired here - it took me a while before I found out it was actually from the muppets :)

  • anyone got a track listing of the hardcore rave tunes this was based on?

  • How long did this song last for? Im sure I gave up after about an hour and a half.

  • classic

  • oh the memorys.

  • very nice rip.

i got a copy on video cassette somewhere.

but i aint had a video player for years.

nice upload dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! many thanks 4 the memories

  • Okay, lets do this shit for the PC system. a 16 gig USB stick, okay, instead of the black algorithm, what about real life scan of the net for movies, digitising, face, and body, creating a digital person, then use hem/her for the demo. everytime you stick the usb in your PC, another person is in play, and the person him/herselve never did this, because he/she is digitised. what about 9 fingers a la 2011. Power man. we can do it. interested? look for SOD/Corporation

  • This song is better than paper!!!!

  • omg just remembered being inspired by this to make my own music demos when i was like 15!!! i used some of the same concepts like words captions flashing on... those 2 spirals pattern things swirling around and inverting eachothers colours.. good times :P

  • I've remixed this so many times in my life :P I still have one I made yeeaaars ago in MP3. Remember using the samples from the MOD files back in the day.

The lyric captions in this are outrageously wrong :P They put "altermann" instead of "ultimate"... instead of "hey, ya thoughts've been slowed down" they put "in your thoughts would be slowed down"... wonder if LSD were european

  • @EvilStreaks If I recall correctly the lads responsible for Jesus on E's were from the UK (I believe Leeds is the L in LSD). I've got all the samples (and MOD files) still sitting on my hard-drive, along with probably ALL the original tracks the samples were taken from. I was working on updating this using better quality samples from the original tracks... but then I got bored! LOL

  • @EvilStreaks

    Those are incorrect

    it is;

"And you thought the beat slowed down, come on" ( :

    by Prodigy

    Song; Jericho (Genaside II Remix)

google it ! or in the very beginning @:23

    watch?v=0QLn7sZlnWA

  • @surfitlive - it's actually an old Public Enemy sample, from the tune 'Power to the People'

  • Keep expecting my ex girlfriend to come and tell me to turn it down. top stuff Amiga1200 the days!

  • @Incomtaxis

Yeah!! Comparing PCs to Amigas is just a lost cause for the PC. 7,14 Mhz + 0,5mb RAM on board and another 0,5mb external beated the shit out of EVERY PC between 90-95.

Unfortunately the Amiga was promoted way to much as a gaming machine and died...

Phat Demo, bringing back sweet memories!!

  • @TheKempert i believe that Commodore Europe were doing fine and Commodore USA went tits up taking Europe with it,..... Hence the death of the Amiga... shame as i loved my A500 :o(

  • The funniest thing is - this demo was on 2 floppy disks - about 1.6Mb.

    On YouTube, it's nearly 90Mb!

  • a guy from LSD played it for me personally. Was some guy from Scotland, I couldnt believe how good it looked and sounded.

I just remember him continuosly swapping the discs over. You definitely needed 2 drives for this.

it was like 1992 and I didnt think any computer was capable of such epicness.

  • Make me feel like doing the Guru Meditation!

  • good old amiga 500

  • Absolutely sick demo. Love the oldskool samples. This is how it's done.

  • @philbluntuk sorry, hit the wrong thumb I totaly agree with you tis is one of the stand alone best's. I wanted to give you a positve!

  • Oh how I luv this tune. One of the best demo's for the Amiga ever. I'm gonna have to dig the old A500 out of storage now, lol. Thanks for sharing!

  • takes me back..happy times

  • haha! nice job with the music too!

  • This was a game changer, needed 2 drives so made me buy an external one !!

  • oh my god, I'm 15 again!!!!

Soundtrack to my childhood, I love it! :)

    Many thanks :)

  • Youtube doesn't do this justice.

It's amazing what demo coders got out of the Amiga.

  • fuckin belter

  • This one came into my possession and I was just sat there in transfixed with the grafix then the music just came and grabbed me forced me just play right to the end and again and again and again. Thanks to NIMR0DPING for the posting I will always be a Amiga Scener as long as I live this was and still can hold its respect in the a club anyday!

  • MOoahahahha:D

  • Great upload but it doesnt sound right. The intro music is wrong and there aint no sampled speech! Was it running on an emulator?

  • @richj2k Did you watch the same video as the rest of us? The intro (Mike Oldfields Tubular Bells) is EXACTLY the same as the original. Perhaps its the hard panning of the audio deceiving you? The Amiga had 2 stereo audio channels (or 4 mono channels), naturally they outputted 2 channels left and 2 channels right. Most people on ever heard the audio from their Amiga through a TV so heard everything combined in mono but hook the Amiga up to a stereo, with phono leads, and this is what you got.

  • this was where it all started RESPECT TO THE UPLOADER. still keeping the scene alive fkin oy oy!

  • the white fist is similar to the old northern soul image - which is where dance music evolved from ? remember watching this over and over it was mind blowing in its day

  • thanks for uploading, remember getting this demo back in the day and being stunned.

  • I remember drawing the clenched fist - rave power symbol on the inside of a college folder back in the day. The music and the whole rave/ demo scene was something else. love it. hit you hard and keep you hyper...

  • I left hig school in 94. i had this my amiga 500 withouut 512k ram espansion! I started going to local "PARTIES" in my sixth form year mainly due to demo's like this and spaceballs or 9 fingers.

  • remember them all well - went to school in 94 (left in 99) and these demos, alongside swos and monkey island were THE definition of the Amiga era, lucky to own a second drive to play Jesus on E's! lol

  • same here mate ! was lucky enough to go to hacienda and the quad before they were shut down..

  • never really understood the white power fist in the bottom right hand corner though :P haha

  • i do not think that logo is really intended as a white power symbol, but a "digital riot" one ;-)

  • amazing! i cant believe this is on youtube!

i havent heard this since i was 10 or 11 but It still sounds as good as i remember and some of the sections have always stuck in my head, im 27 now..

i've still got the 2 disks laying around in my cupboard but no amiga, glad to hear this is on divx too, sick! :P

i used to always listen through to hear the rolf harris and muppets section and cranking the piano stabs real loud at night haha. good times.

anyone have a definite year of when this came out?

  • Hi - it was 1992..........Wow! I feel old now!

  • @NIMR0DPING this mix is mising alot of sounds... looks like the uploader had a crappy amiga.. wont u rock with me 1 time, that and many more samples are not in this version :(

  • @peales1 Erm, 4:03 just as an example? Unless Im going mad, I can clearly hear won't you rock with me one time...

  • @NIMR0DPING

as long as that? woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.... thats incredible.... i really do feel old lol

  • @xsessivmc 2 Disks? It came on four if I recall correctly.

  • @xsessivmc Dude!! Same for me. I remember we had a Amiga 500, and some floppy discs. Used to have to wait ages for this to load. Visually and sonically, it had a massive impact on my psyche.

  • @xsessivmc download an emulator and play it again

  • the samples for Tubular Bells were taken from a Yamaha SY77, Joff borrowed Diggers keyboard for the samples .... those were the days

Hi Pazza / Monty / Joff if you happen to be reading this (from Sidewinder ex-LSD)

  • Oopsies, i got it wrong, it wasnt Joff it was Echo who borrowed Diggers keyboard for the samples, he did it when he was staying with Monty.... My memory isnt as good as it was ... lol

Ive not seen any of the guys since I left the group in '92 so I dont know what Pazza, shagratt, Monty, mub, joff are doing these days. I still see Digger (Mick) regularly though

  • The music was made by a mate of mine who was a teenager at the time. He composed bits of it whilst visiting my cousin & I one summer. We're the only guys who get greets during the demo, which is ace! It says 'Greets to Mat & Jay'. We had it cassette in the car for ages and ages.

Graham, who was Echo, is a great chap. I've not been in contact with him for some time. He went by the handle of The Spoon Wizard for a while and has now given up music for photography according to his website.

  • heh this is ANCIENT! Still totally epic tho and fresh as it ever was! GIMME A WHITE LINE :)

  • massive tune classic amiga i have the full video in divx

  • Anyone know where I can get this demo

  • A classic from the good old days. Can't get this working properly on the emulator so good to see it up here. The rolf part is still entertaining.

  • fekin hell....had this in ...must be 1988-89 on the amiga 500+..........had the amiga hooked up to a technics system.....sounded awesome in 2 channels....left or right.

  • i remember there was a video of this doing the rounds, must of been 92/93, sat and watched it on 2 strawberrys and a biscuit with a couple of mates, good times

  • amiga hardcore :) i had this on a3000

  • This was originally officially 4 floppies. Or it was meant to be (it utilised all 4 floppy drives if you had them connected so you didn't have to do the disk swapping thing. Later versions were optimised and compressed to hell to fit on 2 floppies.

How do I know all this? Because I know one of the guys responsible. They also stalked Geoff Minter (Llamasoft) for a while :D

  • I still have these on disk, and emulated i think :)

    got to love the amiga!

  • @VimVendors

    GEOFF MINTERS? lol

i´d swear his name was jeff

  • This was a hard demo to get running on anything but a stock A500 with no expansions sadly.

  • actually u can run this demo without second floppy......just watch the drive led and u ll know when to change disks...:D

  • Christ this is good. I remember we used gather round a mates house, lights out and go mental to this. I feel 15 again....

  • Gorgeous this is!!!

Brings back lovely epilepsy inducing memories playin this after lights out as a kid.

    God bless the Amiga

  • I played this to death!....still got my Amiga.

Definitely 2 discs.....still got them too.

  • Definitely only two disks, that's what was so impressive about it.

  • i grew up with this, wasnt it like 12 disks long or something like that?? my dad still has this as his ringtone lol! my favourite bit was the muppet part XD. i love the whole thing though, really amazing memories. i never thought for a second i would find it here!!!!

  • 2 disks only, I still have them somewhere along with my old A1200 :).

  • two disks?! are you sure? i remember way more than that ._. they werent exactly official lol, maybe thats why. i have no idea.

  • I used to have this on my Amiga 500, and lummocks is right, you could get it to work if you keped on swapping the disks over.

  • Believe it or not back in the day i recorded this onto tape staright off my Amiga 600 (the wedge) and this got played at an illegal party under a road bridge and had about 50 people dancing to it at about 2am on a sunday morning!!!!!

  • i wish i'd been there! :)

  • yes yes!!!! damn right, great to see this again, gettin round the external drive was an issue, but you could just swap between disks, however a short silence was incured at such a time..10 out of 10 for this

  • Lewis - I have an A500 and A4000/030 waiting to go.... I remember the argument about the Amiga being multitasking while Windoze 3.x wasn't... the PC "clan" insisted it was just time slicing as it only had a single processor. Then the "multi tasking" Windoze 95 came out. Magically, PC's gained multiple processors?!?! ;-)

  • still love my amiga. I'm in the process of remaking all my old tunes on the pc version of octamed. The amiga hasn't died, it's just in a coma. Let's bring it back now.

  • It's insane to believe this demo run on a 7 mhz !! machine with only 1 meg of ram... I am 32 now, still mis those days. All people where astounded by these demo's.. My uncle had an 286 pc, he say the graphs on my Amiga and it blowed his mind.. :) Great times.

  • cool to see it again i loved amiga for the spirit that went with it a community not just a bunch of comp users

  • fucking great to see again.........

  • Everyone without an external drive got fucked by this demo ... like me

  • I remember having to cycle to my mates house to play it on his as he had two drives...now and then I could get it to play part way on mine by frantically swapping the disks over!

    Great video thanks for posting.

  • Good old amiga, those were the days,aNYBODY remember Bette Davis Eyes mix for the amiga?

  • This was just the most amazing demo in my amiga days - sitting there waiting for the muppets rave sample - classic! Just to think all this on 2 disks- the source was smaller than the youtube download lol!

  • Absolutley - I was the same. Muppets are at 06:15 on part 2 ;)

  • I kept my Amiga 500, not the plus, h'original, just for this maaaaan.

This is so much better than that mainstream 'Scooter' bollox or whatever it is nowadays.

    Big ooop.

  • TRIPPPPPPPING!!!!!

Love 2 see this again....love 2 see KAOS also,

think it was in a megademo from BUDBRAIN....

    not sure.....anybody ? ? ? ?

    CHEEEEEEEEEERS ALL!!!!!!!!

  • Yep, it was budbrain!

  • COMMODORE AMIGA IN THE HOOOOOOUSE!

    WOOOOP WOOOOP! WOOOOP WOOOP!

I was 15 when this came out. It worked better if you had an external disk drive (DF0 & DF1).

TERRIFYINGLY GOOD for its time. GOBSMACKING!

  • Seconded! I remember getting it and getting smashed watching it XD

  • CLASSIC!

When playing this on my original AMIGA today it is just as awesome as when it was released.

All nice this youtube stuff, but it doesn't do the animations justice...

  • i dnt no the name of the tune at 200 but i will ask mi dad coz he iz dj echo

  • Can anyone tell the tune at 2.00 i have it on tape but have no idea what it is called?..and ohh how i loved this demo

  • Hi, I'm not 100% sure, but check out Kaos theory 1-4 from the early 90's. These had lot's of similar tunes from the likes of Messiah and the Prodigy.

  • sonz of a loop da loop era - far out

    suburban base records 1992

    classic danny breaks stuff!

  • Ah this brings back memories... Demo Scene, BBS's ... Ah, the Amiga should of never died!

  • Fuck yeah!

  • omg used to love this bit mad now though

  • I love this, reminds me of back in the day
