I've played this game for a significant amount of time, and have played WoW for over 2 years--this game is a breath of fresh air, for someone like me who is tired of the "grind." Aion let's me play a game and truly PLAY. :)

Whiteblaze, they may be "copying" WoW, but that bar just makes gameplay better. More Realistic. Would you rather be just be spamming one button, and have the spell hit automatically. I actually find it better, you would have to actually plan out your attacks.

I loved playing the mage in Dekaron, it was very very epic playing as a lvl 120 mage, spamming alot of AoE skills and combos and such, very cool. I'm not saying Insta cast is better gameplay, because I know the casting bar is better and more realistic, all I'm saying is in my experience, "mage" classes are more fun to play when the spells are insta cast. To me, its boring standin for 8 sec just to freeze one enemy.

Actually in WAR it wasn't interrupted that easily, instead if u got hit it went back a little giving you a small delay on the spell rather than interrupting it completely. However it is much more realistic as said below and makesthe class balanced. If the spells were insta cast then no monster and/or player would have a chance against us since theyd be pummelled by tons of spammed spells for tons of spammed damage(sorcerers)
Well not really, Dekaron/2Moons is balanced just fine with insta cast spells. In fact alot of games are. And you can simply increase the recharge time on the powers instead of adding the annoying casting bar, but even then, if all classes have insta cast spells it wouldn't be unbalanced at all. Just a hell'a lot more fun. I know WoW didn't start the loading bar thing, I hate WoW anyways. It's just my personal opinion that they should remove the casting bar, and I'm sure alot of people agree. :)

WOW did nothing original, they copied off EQ in more ways than one, they made the game 10x easier, everything easy to use and newbie friendly and thats why it became popular.
EQ was not the first MMO lol, it was just the first one really popular in the US, but there was a lot of them many years before EQ...and yes, they all had the same basic stuff all the new MMO have today, nothing has change in more than 10 years...only the graphics...but game mechanics, classes, all the other important thing...just the same.
Wow is the most well known game in the world. Its a perfect reference for almost any mmorpg whether you like it or not. It's not the basis for all mmo standards but it definitely sets the standards.
It's play to play. Elyos and Asmodians have different wings. Elyos' wings are more angelic, while Asmodians are the opposite and have demonic looking wings. And that wing bug is the reason they have cbt. :) "But why CBT only in korea?" I'll tell you why! 'Cuz they're bastards thats why!!! AOE stands for "Area Of Effect". It means the skill will hit anything inside its AOE. And the AOE skills are usually the coolest looking ones :D
