@linasarahnose that is a really big no-no! your piercer will tell you too. If you want to stretch your ears, you MUST let the knew piercing completely heal. Like we're talking 8-12mths kind of solid healing. But, if you don't want to wait for all that, you can get your ears pierced at a large gauge (thickness) or scalpelled. Scalpelling isnt the best if you want your ears to shrink back though, coz it removes a large circle of skin and wont ever shrink. But yer, cant stretch new piercings :)

Do your ears eventually get to where this isn't sore or painful?  I tried stretching my ears last year (nothing to this extent, I was just kinda experimenting with it) but even though i waited the recommended time in-between stretching, my ears were still sore when I changed barbells in and out. Is that normal or is it just my sensitive ears?

@112wer most ears grow back to normal size. i mean if i take mine out for a day they shrink back at least 2mm! doesnt work for all tho. usually theres no way back from anythin wider than 1cm. but as she said, its a minor surgery, like nothin at all. no biggie

I Found a good one for my lobes!! Its called BAG BALM! O.M.G! its amazing..its used for Cow Utters when there chapped and i swear to god i put BAG BALM on my lobes for 1 week every morning and night and where i live the winter time the tempeture is 40 and under and my ears were so chapped until i put BAG BALM on them and they havent been chapped for 3 weeks so far! Everytime i take off my plugs they're so hard to put back in. Even if I had them out for 1 minute. I noticed my ears are thinning really bad and have a blow out:( I've downsized and I massage them but it's not helping.

You need to downsize and then stay down sized for a while so they heal. About a month+ between smaller sizes and even longer for the bigger ones.

by downsizing, you create more scar tissue as well, which thickens the lobes back up.

I was told never to twist plugs, tapers, etc. because they can cause your ear to tear a little.

Try emu oil. It's more like a lube for your ears and I'm pretty sure most tattoo/piercing places sell it. It was very useful when I was stretching my ears.

@MsXxxKittiexxx It really depends how big the holes were. For the bigger sizes no, you would need surgery to have you ears be back to normal, minus the scarring. Also, a lot of employers don't enjoy having people work for them that have plugs.

You might think @skater803 is a dick but he is right. Just sleep with them in. They probably hurt because your doing everything wrong! Don't moisturize your ears with lotion! Use Jojoba Oil or Holey Butt'r. And they would fall out less if you brought double flared, or even better, screw on plugs and tunnels.
