  • nice trucks. Which truck was your favourite?

  • @TheBrodra No favourites, all the Ryde trucks are awesome =]

  • @MitchellM15 you would've liked the trucks that come to my area

  • Also can't tell because the reving is the same.

  • I can't tell which one is green yellow or red because they are all identical triplet MJS and because they have the same letters on each rego plate AK-number-BL.

  • WOW! That truck goes so fast!

  • why are there heavy duty grabbers?

  • @SitaEnvironmental I'm not sure about why they have them on this truck?

  • Now that WSN Has been bought out by SITA what happens to these trucks? Do they Stay with SITA? Do you think they will redo the Paint Scheme on the Ryde Trucks?

  • @Superiorpakfan I reckon all the paint work will stay the same, they might just change the parts where WSN Environmental Solutions is shown.

  • So Ryde has a bundled greens program and a regular containerized one as well? How often is each collected?

Why do they only purchase Recyclers? Aren't those intended for minimizing glass breakage in recyc. collection and wouldn't be appropriate for the packing force needed in greens/trash collection?

One random question..are there many alleys in Australia? What trucks service them if there are? I wonder how any of these ASLs would do with the arm motion they have...Excellent post Mitch!

  • @Trashman242 The containerised service occurs every two weeks and the bundled greens is collected 5 times a year as part of the clean-up. Ryde's the only place I know to actually have a seperate load of greens collected... the same thing should be happening in Warringah from my POV. I don't know the exact reasons why they only got recyclers, but I'll assume it has something to do with the extra capacity and keeping the fleet as similar as possible.

  • Reducing glass breakage was the initial concept for these trucks, but then they developed the sloped hopper for greens. You can easily adjust the packing pressures on these trucks for either recycling or greens - in GenVs all you have to do is turn the recycle mode on or off via the control system screen. When it comes to alleys, they aren't too common, but they can be found throughout a number of councils in the inner west of Sydney... there were plenty of back lanes when I was in Lithgow.

  • @Trashman242 I think they only purchase the MJ Recyclers because they are higher than the standard MJ Refuse's to fit more bins in in a load

  • nice one mitch! its good that you got Gary (no29) picking up the greens! very good video mate! its been starnge the last two weeks, 2 weeks ago your ancient strathfield greens truck picked up the greenwaste in my street while this week a recycler - similar to the one in your fairfield video picked up my recycling! its the first time i have seen a truck thats not painted green in ryde!! but i tell you these were great trucks to watch!

  • @garbo23 Cheers mate, have you seen the other Ryde videos? - got the whole set up now. They still have that hell old Strathfield truck?! Jeez, can't believe it still works! Bet it was nice to see something a little different going on...

  • my God that driver is fast - - he could make garbage picking olympic!

  • Great footage! Cool that their carts have tags, makes it easier! Hope you can get more footage! Here, or anywhere else!

  • These trucks never get old to me! I love those over sized grippers too. Is keeping the lids closed a personal thing that the garbage driver does? I Really like watchin the greens truck in particular. 5*s n fav!

  • @3amrepmike3 Not sure why he keeps the lids closed, will have to ask next time I see him. Thanks heaps!

  • Neck no im not sick of Ryde!

  • Nice job there Mitch man that guy is fast!!

  • Great video!

I noticed that the Ryde driver that collected garbage didnt fully stop his truck when he was picking up the cans.

Is that usual for trucks to do that there?

  • @ JaccobDalton

Only the best drivers/ones that are really insinc with their trucks.

  • Oh lol!
