nice vid but the water is preventing gasification like tebOatoz says, i believe you can put the pot directly on the stove to cover the center hole to conserve alcohol. ps.cooking in a hotel bathroom on the floor is not appetizing, sanitary, kosher or halal. :p bon appetit

you need denatured alcohol

Your stove is not working correclty because it is sitting in water. You do NOT put it in a water bath to keep it cool. The whole stove needs to heat up to vaporize the alcohol so it will go out the jets. This will cut your cooking time by over fifty percent. PEBKAC.

your stove is not functioning correctly if the outer jets do not start. I have one and it will cook easily in half the time you give.

@Nobbyplancton before terrorism became popular the airlines flying to India would have people going home cooking on alcohol stove while the plane was in the air, not that the grould would have been much safer.
