Obviously this is an early version of the song/video. They changed the animation and (judging by Flounder's role here compared to the movie) story a bit for the actual movie.

Also, I've also heard Athena originally had a bigger role and (a much younger) Usrula was supposed to be the villain, instead of Marina.

Compared to the other sequels, The Little Mermaid II wasn't that bad... A little corny, but not terrible. This movie just killed it. Poor story, no explaining how Ursula came into the picture. Just all about music. Worst. Movie. Ever.

I heard the good news for those of you TLM buffs out there that on the official Disney site that "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning" will be coming out on DVD August 26th, 2008. It was originally planned for a DVD release last year, because it was delayed due to some changes. I'm glad Disney made a great move and a good title change. Will see what happens on August 26th.
