  • This music starts playing when Chuck Norris walks to you.

  • This song reminds me of the dentist.

  • I find this track unusually FUNNY for some reason. It's so random and strange. And what's up with the horse sounds?

  • old modems and broken printers much?

  • I heard this song before I saw the scene it goes to. It set it up perfectly.

  • This song sounds like Satan is being raped.

  • This song makes me not want to do drugs...

Only Clint Mansell could make a string quartet sound like a dying printer.

  • i do like this song but its like a poison to me every time i hear this i always think about electro shock theropy from the film brrrrrrrr

  • Smoke weed not heron!!

  • Amazing how the darkness and insanity this song delivers in such vivid sounds.

  • this is the only song that can give me chills.

  • @idontloveyouanymore9 not even 1812 overture?

  • 2"@IlersichProductions Well, by "chill" I sort of meant "scare the living fuck out of me" heheh.

  • @idontloveyouanymore9 night on bald mountain?

  • @IlersichProductions hmmm not as much.

  • @idontloveyouanymore9 at least mars, the bringer of war? if not, meh, i respect your opinion.

  • it makes me feel so jittery.

  • The best moment in the history of movies.

  • Okay this song + the Scene caused me anxiety, for real. Requiem for a Dream is a creepy but wonderful movie... A must be seen one

  • my faces at this part of the movie: :O @_@ ;_;

  • i think of this song when im extremely hungover

  • If this song was made many years ago, the russians would have been to scared of this song playing while Chernobyl melted down

  • @floppydeers ukrainians, not russians

  • One guy is on crack.

  • the requiem of death!!!!!! :___ /

  • "that also puts us 600 miles away from new york." epic song, terribly sad movie.

  • The staccato notes hint of a frenetic pace in their lives and the quick decisions, good or bad, that they must make and live with that choice.

  • And this is why I'm not going to do drugs.

  • I love this song, but the noise of the saw at the end scares me O.O

  • ive got this full blast i think my mum thinks im a weirdo now

  • it's a great song. very powerful.

  • Most intense scene i've ever seen in a movie. And i have seen ALOT of movies...

  • Am I mad now?

  • Oh God. This music, plus all the crazy things going on in the movie at that moment. How can you not go insanee?!

  • "can you hear me, can you see me? - ok to work"

  • This music is byfar the most underrated out of the whole Requiem for a Dream soundtrack. Lux Aeterna is too overplayed! D:

  • @xDraconianKingx agree! this song suits the movie muuuuuch more!

  • I can't listen to it more than 1 minute, it's so creepy !!!

  • 3:28

  • I always call this movie the best movie that I never want to see again (that isn't a bad thing). The mixture of this song with the ending scenes was enough to make me want to hide in a closet for a week. Aronofsky made sure you were disturbed on all fronts.

  • I've worked with a couple patients recieving electroconvulsive therapy.

Ten treatments at a rate or one or two per week could pretty much completely cure otherwise overwhelmingly heavy depressions. ECT looks creepy as hell but for the patients I saw recieve it it was a miracle.

They were givent an IV anaesthetic and were not conscious during the treatment.

When "shocked" the whole body would tense up and the relax when the power was cut. Afterwards they were fine. No burns or pain.

  • @T3t4nu5 Yeah, the way it's shown in the film is really inaccurate. But it's fiction anyway.

  • @Annulable

I know, I was replying to an earlier comment.

There are plenty of medican mistakes in Requiem, but, yeah, it's fiction.

It's also still a great film.

  • Great song for when you're going insane :)

  • I'm addicted to this, even though it's eerie and very effective in creeping me out. :/

  • Hello family I just knew youd find me online. Sometimes I murder people who are worthless because they are an affront to my friends.

  • This is the song I use when I murder people I dont approve of.

  • If I were an everyday normal guy Id be melting down right now. However my heartrate doesnt even change when I depopulate worthless Old Bums in the forest.

  • @CTrace Well, having never experienced ECT or any form of major electric shock, I'm really not sure. If that's the case, the why did Sara have that intense reaction to it? I'm pretty sure she was in immense amounts of pain judging by the look on her face.

But like I said, overall I'm not really sure now that you've told me that. I appreciate the help :)

Where did you read that? I've actually been reading some things about it too, and have seen some mixed reactions.

  • This was the first time ever in a movie that I looked away from the screen, it was too much for me.

  • I almost can't listen to this because of that scene. It was just so crazy and so weird. Probably the most disturbing scene of all time.

  • If you have a SOUL you will cry after this movie

  • one of the most disturbing songs I heard in a while

  • loved it when soap&skin did this song on her concert yesterday

  • SO JEALOUS. ARGHH.

  • yeah, well, then again I didn't get to see much of her ^^" there's no need to be jealous.

the athmosphere was amazing though, you could feel how she's going more industrial.

  • Cannot wait for her to visit the states.

  • Cannot wait for her to visit the states.

  • I'm addicted to this song... Irony much?

  • @BouncingBarnicle

Irony is good in this case ;)

  • Whenever I hear this song, I think of the "Ass to Ass" scene in RFAD.

    .

    Absolutely crazy movie.

  • Same here, this song immediately conjures up the image of the perverted business men screaming at the two girls.

  • "What's next?"

Dirty old man with a big smile on his face.

    "Asss to asssss!!! "

    Double-headed dildo makes its appearance.

    Etc. etc. etc.

  • that seen was fucked up but i get the image of the mom in shock therapy to

  • I'm still recovering from watching her go through that. I know it's just a movie, but it makes you like the main characters and have hopes for them. This may sound kinda odd for someone who doesn't personally know anybody with drug problems, but I still cried very hard at the end. Hope I can relate to somebody.

  • yeah dude i cried it some messed up stuff

  • The ultimate version is that of 'Soap and Skin' at Purcell room. She nearly destroyed the piano.

  • I know what you mean. This song gets under my skin and brings back some harsh images. Whenever I watch that scene, no matter how many times I've seen it, I always get nervous and shaky. Such a powerfully disturbing movie. Also one of my favorites. Hell, anything that Darren makes is great. Pi FTW

  • Spine Chilling. Disturbing yet beautiful. Kinda makes me feel like I would running from the cops or anything chasing after me.

  • Love this song its awesome in the movie fits perfectly

  • Man, the way that this song is used in the film, it could easily be considered the most freaky horror/phycho song of all time.

When you think about it, it's really amazing; this song isn't for a horror film, but can create that same emotion that you get when watching a scary ass film.

Clint Mansell, you crazy son of a bitch. What new music will he make next?

Oerall, crazy song, and crazy film.

  • @Larry2900 Well put, my man. This combined with the fucked-up montage is so effective in making you stay away from drugs. Sara getting ECT was hard for me to take.

  • Appropriate title for the song. It melts down toward the end. Very cool. This music was and is brilliant.

  • if you have a bad hangover or something

or just being high this song makes you trip so bad and if you have ahangover your head will burst

  • this is like..partial exams soundtrack ..just in the mood

  • this song is pretty creepy it would be good in a scary movie but requiem is a great movie

  • I think by the time it plays this song, its alot like a horror movie.

  • yeah ur right but i love this movie

  • You're right man...

  • @DarthRevan5641 completely agree

  • @DarthRevan5641 well drugs r a horror movie when your a smacked out junkie............. yes ive been there shaking like a nutter needing my poison, but thank fuck Im clean now :) x

  • @DarthRevan5641 Well, life is the real horror film.

  • hmm...well requiem does seem to me a bit like a horror movie in a sense.

  • Only if you know a person who does drugs.

  • Depends on your definition of 'Horror'. If you think jump scenes and buckets of blood are scary, then this movie won't affect you (that is, as xboxfreak said, unless you know someone who does drugs). However, if you're more of a psychological-horror person and if you feel for other people, real or not, then this movie WILL stick with you.

  • @dumbledoo12 Requiem for a Dream IS a scary movie.

  • such a creepy song

  • he's called Mansell, not Marsell :D

  • my favorite track

  • Mine too... and i like the conga of the summer period!!
