  • Thanks sooo much!!!

  • thanks for the help, I encountered that exact scenario!

  • what happens if the whole top layer is not complete, like the corners are right but the edges or not, bc if this happenes in a 3 by 3 by 3, i would perform the algorithm thats suppose to be used, and when i do that for this, it sometimes will give me no completed top layer

  • but i dont get a completed side. thats my problem, by this step i only have the the middle pieces of the top layer. the corners are all weird. i cant even get two adjacent corners.

  • @karalis290 First you have to use moves for a 3x3x3 cube to solve top corners before you solve top layer edges.

  • thanks Rob, this really helped me solve the cube!

  • Thank you so much... I've been stuck on this part and could not figure out how to get it right. Thanks for uploading!

  • Can you give my the an allan algorithm that switches the 3 dedges in a CLOCKWISE direction please?

  • @georgetroulis

    For clockwise use R2 U R U R' U' R' U' R' U R2

  • @georgetroulis keep the solved side on the back

  • @LakersBeast22 Thanx for your help. I guess its better than repeating the regular allan twice. By the way, I have an other poblem. My 4x4 revenge is solved except for two corners. Those corners are in the wrong place, NOT flipped the wrong way but in the wrong place. Can you help me?

  • @georgetroulis

actually you should've used a PLL alg to solve the corners which was my fault for not mentioning. Find a side that has two same colors and then use the alg R U R' U' R' F R F' THEN F R U' R' U' R U R' F'. If there isn't a side with two same colors perform the second part of the alg and then the first. After you have all of the corners correctly permuted, tell me the situation you have with the edges and I will tell you the correct alg.

  • Rob i personally want 2 THANK U so much 4 such a nice and easy demonstration... it helped me alot in solving my rubik,s cube 4 x 4 first time ever.. ur vidios helped me alot... thanku again.. n i have completed it 100% successfully.. u r a ginious man.. thankx.. n m sooooooooo happy today..

  • Thx to this viewer! I had this problem also :)

Rob you're video's helped me alot!

  • hey i have the blue side solved the yellow and the white but my green orange and red arent solved my cube on the red side has a orange and green sticker on the top left my green has just a red sticker on my right midele top layer sticker and my orange has a red sticker in my left top middle layer is that parity or did i mess up really bad

  • I do not get 2 solid lines all I get are two adjacent colors on every side and I can't find where you explain how to fix it. Please Help! It's becoming very frustrating and I still have no luck. Thank you.

  • @MrDJC231 Use the alg M2 U M2 U2 M2 U M2 with the left dedge of the pair of adjacent edges on the front face

  • Using his method YOU SHOULD NEVER GET CORNER PARITY. If you do run into corner parity, you can always solve the corners and displace the edges, causing the edge (or dedge) parity.

You can use the three corner cycle algorithms, or other PLL algorithms, and you'll get the edge parity. It might help to turn the up face so the edges aren't already in place. Then it's easier to see how to solve the corners, so you have edge parity instead.

Thumbs up so everyone sees this tip!

  • can you also make another video that teaches corner parity? Thumbs up if you do

  • hahaha is it horrible if i used this video to solve my 3 x 3? xDD

  • in my case I the corners are all okay, but there is no completed side, means that all the edges are not right..

  • @ingajadeh are they inverted or on the wrong side?

if they are inverted F, R, U, R', U', F' this will make it an L then repeat with the L backwards then repeat witht he line horizontal.

    if they are all on the wrong side try using R, U, R', U, R, U2, R'

  • How the hell do you swap to unsolved corners?

  • yeah, what do you do if you have 2 corners solved and 2 unsolved???

  • @hehezo thats corner parity im guessing ask him for it

  • you said that you never get the case at the start of the video with a 3x3 but you do almost every time!

  • @youtunezzz2 i noticed that

  • what do u do if you have 2 corners solved and 2 unsolved, im a little stuck

  • It's bether do F U' F' and then the parity algorith, and then F U F'. Much faster.

  • could you help me with the last two corners? i have a rubik's cube where yellow, green, red piece is in the yellow, green, orange corner and a yellow, green, orange piece in the yellow, green, red corner everything else is solved except those last two spots

  • help me with the corners

  • actually before i went to this link, i found out i have noooo completed sides. sooo uhhhh

  • Good job. and i SUBSCRIBED>

  • I used this to solve a 4x4 for the first time ( Last Year).. and i will be posting a solve in the video responce

  • If you are right handed like me. I find the reverse allen easier and faster. and its easier to do finger tricks on..

    That is ...R2 U F B(i) R2 B F(i) U R2

    Or R2 U(i) F B(i) R2 B F(i) U R2

Depending on which way your going clockwise or counter clockwise

  • Comment removed

  • i also had a problem where two of the corners were swapped

i.e. on the corner where blue, orange, yellow should be there was blue orange white

and then on B O W corner, there was the B O Y corner piece

  • Hey Rob I just wanted to say thanks.I already knew how to solve the 4x4 Rubik's cube, and I had done it like a hundred times.Just today I ran into this Parity error, and I didn't know what to doI spent hours trying to figure out how to fix it,Then I remembered I had seen your videos online about two years ago for solving a 3x3 cube.I figured you must've had done some more videos since then.I decided 2 see if U had made one for how to solve this error, U did.NowI only go to your vids for advice=D

  • THANKS PAL...GREAT JOB IN EXPLAING...BUT HOW DID YOU LEARN THIS STUFF...GENIUS!!!

  • thanks that realy helped!!

  • i figured it out myself, it´s just the last parity case and the allan...

  • rob thanks for your tutorial 5x5x5 rubik's cube solution,i had a request to u that gives us a 6x6x6 tutorial in simple algorithms.(* ^ *)/**

  • my corners are messed up!! i follow your steps but my corners are never how yours are? i have solved the cube when the corner parities subsided but mine is messed up now

  • @benkse2010 Maybe you have switched the centers, look to the side with red, white and blue. It should be that order clockwise, red, white, blue.

  • Thanks so much! I had that problem, even with the same colours, blue and orange middle edges swtiched. This saved me a lot of nerves to try to switch their positions.

  • OYYR

    YYYR

    YYYR

    YYYB

That's how my cube is currently looking. I have the first three layers (including the white one) completley solved, but now I'm stuck here. What am I supposed to do?

  • thanks ! very good tutorial !

  • I LOVE THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE IS MY SAVIOR

  • THANK YOU!!! I used to never remember the 4x4 parity cases but now I can!

  • Thanks very much sir! Excellent job.

  • Thank you soooo much u r the man!!!!!

  • thank you for this beacuse i solve it love it

  • i struggle to do L2 U' B F' L2 B' F U' L2

    i just hold the solved side at the back and do F2 U' L R' F2 L' R U' F2

  • I SOLVED IT!!

  • Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very much Rob I love your tutorials :) now i can solve a 4x4x4 rubiks cube thanks to you Rob :) and only in 3 days :)

  • how do u get them to go CLOCKWISE i wanna no ASAP

  • @Pocodudeface Right Algorithm, Wrong step. That algorithm doesn't work for THIS step. It's for another step

  • i have the same problem as lesil1000. my two corners are switched each oppositepair having the switched colors to the opposite corners plz help me and him!

  • thanks a lot, well, i just mix it up.. lol but watching your video again helps me a lot to solve my used to be a "big" prob solving my 4x4 rubix... again, thanks.

  • Yes! i finally solved my cube! ;D thx

  • thanks a lot of teaching your vids are way better than others. 5 stars!! you taught me the 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 and 6x6

  • how can i get a 4x4 rubix cube without buying it online? I need an anser quick if i can get on.

  • hey i have 2 corner pieces that need to be fliped they are W-O and W-R it would be vary helpful if you could help me

  • Thank YOU! I've been stuck on that error for the longest time!

  • yea what happens if two of my corner pieces ore flipped. ex red, yellow, green and red, blue, yellow are flipped

  • @nexttigerwoodz if they are flipped you got the centers in the roung place i did the same thing

  • yeah need help with properly aligning the top dedge pieces maybe i missed a step somewhere but i can do pretty much everything but that which is really annoying. Some one please help me ( And i don't mean to sound like some noob. I can solve 3x3 just aligning top dedge pieces im not to sure. I did it once accidentally.)

  • I have no problem matching up the middle edge pieces but my top corner peices don't line up. there is always 2 corner pieces that are backwards and I don't know how to fix it. please help.

  • get a 3x3x3 ruiks cube the look at it for a lond time to check the middle because i some times do that

    at too

  • you can just do the first algorithm from the video, than, when you sort the middleedgepieces, there are 3 corner pieces wrong. :D i dont know why, but it worked. if you don't get what i mean, you can write me a message, i'll try to eplain better xD

  • Just comment back on this video if you had any problem Smellyyelly1910. Glad I could help =)

  • So with that info. I Just gave what you want to do is check every corner on your cube. And after you do that you must re-orient your cube so that it corresponds with the corners if you read them in clockwise manner. Say you had three centers possitioned with blue on top, orange on the right and white in the front. Look at the orange, white and blue corner(in a clockwise manner) and find out which one is supposed to go on the top. You find this out by w/e manner you read it in.

  • When you take a corner and read it in a clockwise manner, that's the way the cube is supposed to be oriented. If I take the blue, yellow and red corner, then the way the cube is supposed to oriented is the blue side on the top, yellow side on the right hand side(if you were holding the cube with the blue side on top) and the red side in the front(if you were holding the cube with the blue side on top and yellow on the right)

  • @Smellyyelly1910. I know what problem you're facing with your cube. I'm going to explain but you must listen closley. When you solve all of the centers(middle four pieces on all six sides of the cube), what you want to do is look at the corners. For example: I look at a corner(in a clockwise view) meaning that if you take the blue, red and yellow corner and you red it in a clockwise direction, it would actually be read blue, yellow then red... It's hard to explain but I'mgoingtoputanothercomment

  • somtimes when i am solving the bottom layer the corners dont mach up for some reason plz can you tell me the solution to that it is realy annoying.

  • im doing the top layer with the method: first cross edge and then corners but the corners are switched and i cant get um to the right spot ?Help please?

  • Thanks alot man.

    Uve helped me a lot.

  • Thanks man I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! You taught me the 3x3 and 4x4.... I hope I learn the 5x5 like I learned these! I won't learn the 5x5 until I sharpen my 4x4 skills!!

  • I learned to solve the 3x3 a few years ago using a different guide, & all they did was teach the algorithms without explaining it. So I could solve the cube, but not without my list of algorithms. I LOVED how you explain each step in your videos, so that I could understand exactly what was happening at each turn of the cube. Now I can solve the 3x3 & 4x4 with no paper, b/c you helped me to understand the process. Your drawings of the yellow cross in 3x3 steps 4 & 5 were especially helpful. Tysm!

  • please help. i finished the yellow face and am using the algorithm to make the rows..... hard to explain. u kno the blue and green that r opposite. anyways i got the green row but there r no other adjacent corners to use the algorithm again. so i basically have only one row. on the top layer. PLEASE HELP

P.S. btw i dont mean im on the first layer. im on the top layer... i finished everything like u said. i finished the whole yellow side

  • ive got a problem. Instead of the yeallow edges being porperly orienteed i have two that are and two others that are mixed up and i dont know how to switch them around without messing anything up. Help

  • I had that problem...

    great tutorial!

i've just complete my first Rubik's cube!! \o/

  • It worked perfectly! Unfortunately I guess some people can't follow instructions properly. Don't listen to slow, impatient, morons who do not listen correctly. btw love how your router is in the background.

  • didnt work dumbass. pogobat beats the holy shit out of you. im going to his tutorial. fuck this.

  • If you learned how to do the 3x3x3 from pogobat like i did it might be easier to do the 4x4x4 by him BUT i still say this guys is better because there arent super long algirythms if you do it this way.

  • wuts that matter....did u learn how to solve the cube?.....thats all this video is supposed to be about.....even if your voice is deeper, WHO CARES!!!!!! guess what else, I have hair! and i usually where pants! thats how random wut u said seems on a rubiks cube video!

  • No I didnt learn how to solve the cube of this kunt but I did from a real, normal guy (Pogobat) who is not a nerd like this Robho dickface. By the way I bet all you do all day is pick on people and try to make them feel bad. You should really go out some time and get a fucking life! I cant listen to 2 minutes of this video with out trying to pull out my hair because his voice is soooooo fucking high and annoying.! You just got owned by a 13 year old, you should be ashamed mate. Suck a dick!!!!

  • u think im the one going around making people feel bad? ur the one that is insulting this guy! have you ever heard the saying if dont got anything good to say then dont say it at all. that suits nicely here. even if you dont like this guy just because of his voice, i dont think u need to go around commenting about it..i think ur the kind of person that when u see someone u feel the urge to judge them buy looks....if we can learn to judge people less then we can reach peace faster!

  • You should be ashamed of your trash-talking skillz! That was so original. The highlights : "get a fucking life!" "suck a dick!!!!". That's terrible, absolutely terrible. 1st off, you're 13 and talking about how high his voice is. YOU'RE 13! Insult him when your balls drop. 2nd. You're not australian, and even if you were why the fuck are you saying mate? 3rd Pogobat = real person. RobH0 = Real person. And he probably is a nerd posting rubik's cube tutorials on youtube. "You just got owned"

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah I took the 15 seconds to read your comment =/ unlick you some of us dont take to much time to read because, well were not stupid =/. And another thing "shut the fuck up" very original, but nobody is talking. Last time i checked you type with your fingers. "Btw" If you're australia im martian.

  • '(Uu)2 U2'

This may as well just be

    'u2'

it would have the same effect

  • dude i have no complete side all the d-egdes are messed up and top face is complete

    THEN WHAT!!!!

  • @cntimbo75890

make sure that you do not have the h or z permutation case. If so, just aplly allan from anywhere, and then follow rob steps. if not apply r2 U2 r2 (Uu)2 r2 (Uu)2 U2, and then hold the cube correctly and apply allan

  • my problem is quit like the onein this video, only instead of 2 top centers being placed wrong, all four are incorrectly placed... theres nothing in these videos explaining what to do in this scenario ='[

  • i have a problem : two CORNERS are switcht and they are diagnal. once the sides are paired, i did just like a normal cube (3x3x3) : HELP

  • @MattMagieMania I have the exact same problem... it doesnt work, the two corners need to be reversed but there is nothing in these videos explaining this corner parody, i guess.

  • @MattMagieMania

just apply the algorithm of this step and solve it normally as a 3x3

  • I am stuck I have the cube all done with the yellow cross ontop but no matter how many times i do

r u r' u r uu r' The yellow side on top is never complete all the top middle pieces are correct just not the top corners!!!

    What do I do?

Please reply to this post to tell me how to do it or send me a link to a video explaining this!!

    Thanks

  • hi manateeTV if you know how to solve a 3x3 then you know once youv'e done the step before that you can turn the top layer until you get 2 crosses on the front or back or side layers. Once you've turned the top layer like that then you do the algorithm when 1 cross is on the right and one cross is on the back. If you have trouble understanding this i will happily post a video. enjoy

  • Watch the 3x3 tutorial, the problem you are having is that you dont position the cube correctly, if you have 0 solved corners you need to have one yellow in the lower left facing left, if you have one, that should be on the lower left facing up, if you have two, one of the not solved ones should be on the lower left facing towards you. If you dont understand watch the 3x3 tutorial, step 5 / 6 i think

  • you have to have ONE edge piece thats yellow on the top in the bottom left corner thats oriented , then you do the alg one or 2 times

  • I figured that out by myself.......took forever though.........

  • u explain so slow man...

  • thanks

  • Rob , i have a problem with the top corner edges .

I manage to solve all but stuck in the end because of the switched top corner edges .

    Help me please , Rob.

  • just line up orange face and solve as 3x3,

  • oh.. i got itt... just like 3x3x3... hahaha... sorry...

  • thx man..its help..^^

  • what to do when you complete the whole 4x4, instead of 2 corner pieces that are switched? please help me

  • @6Canyon6

watch dan brown's tutorial. if you were following this tutorial, you wouldnt have that problem. ;)

  • how about using the R,U,Ri,U,R,U2,Ri it does the same thing now post a vid about solving the corner errors that would be greatly appreciated

  • omg... i just finished my brain hurts... need to take a break before i start to memorize the algorithms

  • I'm having a similar, but different problem. I didn't follow your tutorial exactly, which may be the reason. But maybe you can help me anyway. I have the edges solved, but two corner pieces are switched. The entire cube is solved execpt for those two switched corners, how do I fix it?

  • yeah same me

  • I have the exact same problem. It's impossible for me to solve it. o.o

Please Make a Video Response. :)

  • same problem here... I'm trying to look for a formula

  • @lesil1000

watch dan brown's 4x4x4 tutorial. in this tutorial he teaches methods where you DONT get that situation. dan brown however, does not. =\

  • @lesil1000 i'm having the exact same problem

  • @lesil1000 I had the same problem. You have to follow his method for the 3x3; it's a little different from the one I normally do. Once you follow his method, this part and his original tutorial work - otherwise, the corners never orient properly.

  • @lesil1000

    i've got the same problem...

  • ty for helping

  • thx u alot

  • for th 3:09 but u can just put the face that is all solved at the back and do.. F2 (U/U') |depends on wat colour u need| then R' L F2 R L' UF2

  • woohoo at last its finished :D bought it from finland on my trip :D 22 EUR, cuz i havent seen any in estonia and my mom won't buy it from internet, and my brother messed it up accidently

  • I'm very confused, I learned how to do the 3x3 by myself and i always did the cube up to down, so I tried winging it and i'm at the very end and now i have 5 complete sides and 2 middle lower pieces pieces that are backwards.... whats up?

    [] [] [] []

    [] [] [] []

    [] [] [] []

[] {}{} [] the 2 that look like this {} need to be flipped...

  • I sent you a reply to your messege...

    still E-M-R-G-E-N-C-Y!!!

    Doron Singer

  • rob,

i sent you a messege in your inbox...

please help me!! it is emergency!!!!

    Doro Singer

  • my cube is hard to explain. i have the white side complete the top 3 rows of orange side, top three rows of blue. but then on my green and red the two middle edges that join them together is not flipped but has yellow and red

  • never mind i worked it out, its easy when you start getting to know what you do when there is certain problems. good job you made these videos! thanks

  • I've solved the entire cube now but two of the top corners diagonally across from eachother have switched places :S i cant seem to fix it.... am i doing something wrong or a rare parity error???

  • just take it to have one wrong edge in front of you and the other one in your right hand and do r2 U2 r2 (Uu)2 2r 2u

  • yeah!!!!thank u!!!!i done it!

  • oh nevermind, just do the algorithm twice and reorders it. sorry!

  • alright what if the 3 double edge pieces are ordered clockwise and not counterclockwise? does that mean the algorithm won't work?

  • I DID IT! AFTER 3 days ;D

  • apreciate it

  • then you follow this step

    haha

its like uber parodie on a vary rare situation =p

  • Im stuck on making my first layer my corners are weird like the stickers are stuck

  • thanks dude

  • i have a different problem that isnt covered. i have a complete back face and a top face and on the front face the two corners have been switched. how do i solve this?

  • thats a parity error that cannont happen with rob's method the algorithm is (while the 2 unsolved corners are on the front face (Uu)2 (Ll)2 2U, 2l, 2U, (Ll)2 (Uu)2 F', U', F, U, F, R', 2F, U, F, U, F', U', F, R that should solve your cube

  • this is the best it works but i think you can just do the allan and it will work i dont know try it

  • a way to solve a 3x3 is to take it apart

  • pretty good video. i would have been stuck on this for like 3 hours!!!!!!

  • rob you have the B and B' mixed up. You say the algorithm right but your lettering is wrong.

  • i cant get 4x4 cube solving under 4 minits, can you help me?

  • Thanks a million Rob :d I have been stuck on this part for like 2 hours .

  • god thank u i was stuck on this

  • thanks man it real works for me!

  • the best thx

  • Rob... I need help...

When I start to solve the cube like a 3x3, the centers don't appear to be right.. Opposite blue is green and opposite red is orange.. When i finish the base (white), t will form t's right?? But in my case only two sides are right. the other two are wrong.. if the green and blue are in the correct position and forming t's of the same color, the red and orange are wrong.. it should be placed in each other's position..

This is what I encounter sometimes when solving the 4x4.

  • yeah i get that too sometimes

rob give us a hand ;D

  • that means you have two opposite centers that are incorrect. Yes they may be opposite, but that doesn't mean they are correct. Opposites are Blue/green, Red/orange, white/yellow, ALSO....hold it to where the red is front face and the white on the top face, blue should be on the right side, if not, then its incorrect. To correct this. Swap any two opposite colors, it doesn't matter which. The algorithm is (R,r)2 U2, D2, (R,r)2

  • Thanks for all your videos, thanks to you i can now successfully do a 3x3x3 and 4x4x4. You've managed to make me look clever for once =) Thanks.

  • Thanks for the videos, your awesome!

  • You are No.1 !!!!!!!!

  • this really helped me, thanks=]]

  • im sorry dan brown but his way is way easier to remember!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i had my cube so i only needed the top four yellow corners left and when i did the (u r u' l' u r' l') step i could only get 2 of the four right i don't know what was wrong

  • same :S

  • thats my problem too... thats what i was talking about before

  • i doesnt matter if they are in the right place, just get the top layer. after you do that you you still have 4 corners in the wrong spot but you also have the top layer complete. then from there you just continue what Rob said in his Step "3 - Parity Errors" 8:00 mins through it shows you how to do the corners. I did it and i finally got my corners in place but now all my upper layer sides were opposite of where they belonged. Then i did his last step twice in order to fix it and i did it.

  • i tried it again and i didnt even need to do the side a 2nd time

  • Comment removed

  • the way i have my cube, i have everything in place expect the 4 upper corners... what do I do?
