I get how cnet, microsoft, msn, etc used piracy software to boost their download and site visits, which increases advertising and profits. However, I'm still unclear about why they are now trying to shut it down. Did they create the piracy problem (or make it a bigger problem) to ultimately get enough attention for Congress to control it, while making profits along the way? Or is SOPA a way to cover up what they were doing by saying ,"look, we don't like piracy?'' someone help answer this.

I was against the internet from the git go because I knew it would one day be used against us.. for monitoring or suppression of truth. Microshaft had a reason to make computers save everything you say or do online. its like a state's witness in your house.
