@jugganutts It's not easy. You will need to completely dissemble the whole engine.

I think is a great think to do.take a lots of work but not with a horrible chinese engine.chinese quality is no good at all.

@MOUSEBOWEN The best part is the bike does run well and I could put a real Honda engine in it in the future since all the mounting is there now.

@tr3y624 Because the Chinese frame was junk and not made very well. If you watch all the videos you will see just how nice the engine is in the Yamaha frame. Thanks for the comment!

@efield1998 Yes, they both are. One is a Yamaha TTR125 and the other is a Suzuki DRZ125.

i had a neighbor when i was a kid that had that yz80 and that thing was soooo fast

very nice project,i know im a little behind on the build but i will catch up fast :)

im glad to see u had a yz50! i have a 1981 cr80 the second year of the cr80 and man the vintage bikes really do scream and they are hard to blow up, but im chainging over to 4 stroke because the rebuilds with the newer 2 strokes.

I have a 1978 Yamaha Dt175. Last summer I was riding it pretty hard by lugging it. Then it died. Come to find out this year the piston ring came apart or something and scratched up the cylinder. Can't find a cylinder for it. I"ve got a video of the damage.

@SuperJohndeere4020 When I fist got the bike I had the same thing happen. I was able to find another stock bore cylinder on eBay. They do come up occasionally so you have to look every few days.

If your it idles but doesn't accelerate either your exhaust is plugged or you need a spark plug it mite run with that spark plug but won't accelerate. I know this because I've had multiple bike with that problem and they ran perfect after a new spark plug and a cleaned exhaust. Thanks Steve

@tractorloverforlife9 Hi Steve. Thanks for the comment and suggestions. I have cleaned, and replaced the exhaust. I also replaced the plug too. I think it there may be an air leak somewhere IDK.

If the engine idles on a Two stroke motor and wont rev past a set RPM the stator is usually bad ,it split in two parts on for idle the other for revs ,so find a stator and your set to burn gas again : )
