its stinger wire. and just a heads up that 1000m is a monoblock. so by wiring a single 4ohm sub up to youll end up dropping the impedence to 2ohm. which idieal what you wouldnt want. dont worry to much about dirty sound just as long as you keep your rca's away from your power cables! looks like a good set up, bet it sounds good.

@20lacy the 15's are gonna be deeper because there is more surface area there. but i doubt they'll fit in your altima. make a cardboard replica of the box and if you have to bend the cardboard then the box probably wont fit.

@CP1124 most car batteries run at 12v so 14.4v is very good. even if it drops below 13 you're still running above average. so, no don't worry unless it goes below 11v.

@d4nk1503 different ohms does not matter on what car u have its about what amp u have if ur amp is over 600 watts then u might need a second car battery.
Run it at 2 bro... Your car's factory power system (ie alternator, battery) will not damage your amplifier or subs... Also, 2 ohms will result in the normal rms rating regarding each subwoofer... 2 ohms bro, you'll notice a HUGE difference with no compensation in energy consumption

@afr126 2 cvrs will run you about $200, box $60, the right amp another $200. if it includes a wiring kit that sounds about right. otherwise i probably wouldn't go for it. although you can make your own box for less than $50 and it will sound WAAAY better. subwoofertools . net will help you design your own box

I just got a pioneer 3200ub, same with me, it has everything one could need without raping your pockets..... hopefully i can cancel the bass out of my door speakers, and sooner or later try to get a pair of kicker 8's instead of the solo 12" i got, so i can free up my passenger seat (2 seat-er car lol)
i will assume that those subs are single 4ohm voice coils. if so, try run'n the positive wire to each positive connection on both subs and then do the same for the negitive wire. this will give you a 2 ohm load. set the amp at 44.7 volt ac output and thats your 1000 watts. just use a good quality digital volt meter. have fun.

do you always use 0 gauge wire, even if it's a small system, say a 10 with about 400 rms?

@shegar2011 - 0 Gauge is my wire of choice - It's amperage rating fits a broad range of system specs, especially when added in groups.

Run it at 2 bro... Your car's factory power system (ie alternator, battery) will not damage your amplifier or subs... Also, 2 ohms will result in the normal rms rating regarding each subwoofer... 2 ohms bro, you'll notice a HUGE difference with no compensation in energy consumption

@afr126 2 cvrs will run you about $200, box $60, the right amp another $200. if it includes a wiring kit that sounds about right. otherwise i probably wouldn't go for it. although you can make your own box for less than $50 and it will sound WAAAY better. subwoofertools . net will help you design your own box

@ZetaPunk - I just didn't like their lightweight suspension. They are great for demo systems, but useless for true SPL.

whats up man, my name is zane smith and im from montgomery alabama. i drive a 1994 nissan 300zx Z32, and i am about to install an alpine SWR 1042d 10" sub and a lanzar MXA1600 2000watt amp with a sealed 'truck style box' it is .75 volume. how do you think it will perform and hold up?? and just so you know your vids are extremly helpfull and i have lived off of them for a month or so now haha! keep it up!

@EXOcontralto also it depends on the speakers if they are meant to be ported than go with ported and if they are meant for a sealed then go with sealed (you also know way more than me) my system Subs:2 12" aluminum plated eclipse subs Amp:Precision Power PC2150 all in a sealed box that weighs a TON

I just got a pioneer 3200ub, same with me, it has everything one could need without raping your pockets..... hopefully i can cancel the bass out of my door speakers, and sooner or later try to get a pair of kicker 8's instead of the solo 12" i got, so i can free up my passenger seat (2 seat-er car lol)

i will assume that those subs are single 4ohm voice coils. if so, try run'n the positive wire to each positive connection on both subs and then do the same for the negitive wire. this will give you a 2 ohm load. set the amp at 44.7 volt ac output and thats your 1000 watts. just use a good quality digital volt meter. have fun.
