I work on mercedes benz, if that is a SL55 then they put new front fenders, hood and all the front bumper stuff, not to mention wheels and read bumper. That is most likely an SL63, if they showed the engine you could know, cause the 55 is supercharged and the 63 is naturally aspirated.

yes i realize this, but gm has used straight axles for years and been quite successful. aparently you have never driven an old 80s model camaro trans am or vette but they take corners like a dream!!! powering through corners of all angles with ease. now dont get me wrong i like a good bmw in fact ive got a 650i out in the driveway but it just cant take the corners like my 89 z28. ive driven both and still prefer our American mussel.

This is not a SL55 amg its is the new bodied version SL63 amg. Firstly you can tell this by the shape of the lights etc. Mercedes never made this new bodied SL in 55 version only 63 or 65. Now you can tell the difference between the new SL63 and SL65 by the colour of the crossmember in the front apron, Black on the SL63 and matt silver on the SL65. (God I should get out more).
