It sounds like it.. It seems to be a new emulator all PS3's will be able to use. Kind of makes sense if they were relying on certain hardware before and had copyright/contract issues. Its all very confusing but damn good news - lack of backwards compatibility is a major reason why many people haven't bought into PS3 yet.

actually the xbox does have a hdmi port on it so it is a 1080p console and before it was labled and still is labeled as a 720p native console....besides most tv's dont go to 1080p and most ps3 games arent even compatible with that resolution but almost every 360 game does.

and at least with the xbox you have people talking. when i play on the playstation nobody is talking so it can be so quiet that you can hear a mouse fart

1. $50-$60 for a game is not that much money if you're only buying the good games. If you're going to go out and buy every game you see, it adds up. But if you're only buying one game and actually enjoying it for awhile instead of buying a new game every day, it's not a lot of money.

2. That makes sense for the bigger titles, I suppose. But when I go on torrent sites and see independent games and games made by newer, less known companies, it pisses me off.
