They can afford to eliminate emissions while their smaller competitors can't. Corporations generally love to eliminate their competitors through new laws and taxes.

The major causes of warming and cooling on earth have to do with the influence of the sun and geological processes on earth, and not humans.

we are dying of air pollution right now(heart disease, lung cancer, etc.), and alot of people have trouble breathing and pretty much all of us have deminished lung capacity..
the "issue" of global warming is nothing more then a way to avoid the fact that pollution is killing us. its like 30 years of pollution education is being brushed aside because we are not sure if we will be warming as pollution is killing us.

Here's what he doesn't say. The premise is based on the CALCULATED risk. The worldwide temperature has been on the measurable decline for the last 10 years to start with. Global temperature changes ARE NOT man made, and this has been proven over and over again. So the choice is, take steps to destroy the economy and have zero effect on the environment and the temp rises anyway, or, use the funds made from a robust economy to deal with changes we could never stop when the change occurs.

At some point, the determination as to whether it's man-made will be moot (it's self-evident that we're not helping). Humans are at the top of the food chain, because our ancestors were able to adapt faster to changing environments. Climate change aside, extinction is a real possibility with increasing population and dwindling resources. Adapt or die.

In other words, the risk is very unlikely either way. Global warming has been proven to have been backed up by skewed data (climate-gate scandal). It is as likely as a giant mutant space hamster killing the earth. Anyone can make up a risk, and so what if other people believe it, that doesn't mean it's more likely to happen! Nobody would believe a giant dragon is coming to kill the earth, but it's as likely as global warming. All we need is false data and a few celebrities to back it up.

That's what keeps the climate in the temperate zone, (the north of N.America, N.Europe, N.Asia, and the South of S.Africa,S.America) moderate and seasonal. Without the ocean current bringing the water warmed at the equator to the extremes of the globe, ice age onsets. So, that's ALREADY happened, termination of thermal haline circulation. Without CO2 pollution, ice age is on.

This "debate" is a setup. The argument for science organizations and corporations endorsing global warming withheld any mention of political pressures, economic gain and ideology. Global warming (and cooling) goes on all the time, and climate change had happened as long as there has been a climate. The real argument centers around human causality. The major causes of warming and cooling on earth have to do with the influence of the sun and geological processes on earth, and not humans.

If we invested money into every possible negative outcome, we would be bankrupt looking at the statistical odds of gorillas becoming intelligent beings and overthrowing humanity. It's a non-issue, but global warming IS an issue.
