I think the problem is the way you define better...DIo has a good voice....Ozzy's voice has a truthful tangible unique quality that sounds....the only words I can use are bad-ass....everyone tries to sound like Ozzy...no one tries to sound like Dio

mafiahit....I think they respect each other , but...I am n OZZY Fanatic....and I love Dio.....here is what i think....Dio can sing better than Ozzy as a range vocalist, however Ozzy has a voice that is very identifiable if you know it you can pick it out of a crowd .... And I think Dio is a little jellos of Ozzys fame because Dio also thinks he can sing better than the Ozzman...and he knows that he will never have a fan base as large as Ozzys...thats my take

yeah jrad -The vocals on the 1st & second album were "a third instrument"... up to that point nobody ever sang with that shocking raw,raspy,nasel edged tone.

By MOR his voice was much higher and he no longer had that heavy yet stunning , tone...even the songs were less "heavy-progressive" and more straight ahead rock...with Vol.4 the music made an incredible comeback however Osbournes vocals never went back to his earlier tone which no one could duplicate -Dio singing old Sabbath is horrible

I totally Agree what you are saying. I love DIO, Heaven and Hell is A Classic Fuckin album but I definetley think Ozzy is a little Jealous of Dio and Dio is Very Jealous of Ozzy.

yeah they agreed to open for ozzy and didn't ask dio his opinions on it so he got pissed and left and thats when rob halford came in to open the 2 shows and sabbath performed 4 songs w/ ozzy and bill ward

Actually, Dio was notified. He thought that Sabbath should not open for any1, especially, the man who he replaced as singer. Ozzy and Dio have always had a little feud going. Rob Halford was asked to do those '92 shows, but would say yes if Dio approved
