I love Cream, but ugh. They should have done this in the 1980's...when they were in their 40's. These old guys sound and look like they missed their afternoon nap.
@wickedtothemisty If you're only lookin' at their looks you might think so,but listen to the depth of this incredible trio, that has nothing to do with looks but Music with a capital M...
Clapton was born in 45 so he was 60 here and 67 now he's younger than I thought he was, rocking the guitar as always I was so mad that I was too young to hit their concerts when they were touring or so my parents thought I should have snuck out or done something radical once LOL
What every rock/blues guitarist has used (misused) through the last 45 years, is the pentatonic (major/minor) scale,,,,what Clapton actually did on the original solo on "Im so Glad", was a simple little genious harmony solo on the G-string. I miss that simplicity here.
@dorianpsycho13 I stand corrected. Yes that is Ginger Baker.a drummer par excellence who easily towers over all the rest. Donno why but here he seemed to appear like Vinnie but for the hair.
Oh, hell yeah! I remember lying in a closet in Houston (summer of 1969) that had been outfitted with a twin bed mattress and speakers. Total darkness, immersed in the sound of Cream playing 'I'm So Glad'. That grin lasted for WEEKS!
Wouldn't it be cool if Eric incorporated the 1812 Overture into his solo just like he did in one of the BBC sessions? Wonder what he audience's reaction would be :D
I´m so glad, too!!!

Some guestions from Finland: who were in bass and in drums?
hundqvist 2 months ago
@hundqvist That is Jack Bruce on bass & Vinnie Coletta (hope I got the spellings right) on the drums...I think this performance belongs to Coletta.

@hundqvist Bass is Jack Bruce, well known in jazz circles before Cream. Ginger baker on drums, went on to Blind faith with Eric after Cream split.
