The striations which you see on the walls of the Grand Canyon are water lines created erosion. Any geologist will confirm that the canyon has been "cut" but the Colorado River...not some mythical deluge.

This is the thing about the Bible that God wants everyone to realize, that man is a creature that sins and goes his own way. I don't like what David did, and God didn't like what David did. God would not allow David to build the Temple because God said he was a man of war. David paid a high price for what he did. The conquences were very high.
God also said that David was a man after God's own heart. This shows that on one is perfect but God can still love them and save them if they want it.

I chalenge them mainly to disprove the prophecies of Jesus first coming. I tell them that if they can disprove these prophecies then they will be very rich.
So far I have one atheists who took me up on this challenge. I do expect him to believe when he's done.

I can't speak for other people, but I don't usually go around giving Christians a hard time and, in fact, am happy to drop the whole God issue except in the case of fundamentalists who 1) misrepresent science and misinform others in order to convince others that the Bible is literally true 2) go around threatening people with hell 3) use the Bible to justify their bigotry for homosexuals and non-believers 4) try to change the laws in favor of their religion. That's when I take issue.

The sign is a wording mistake. It should say "Dont let worries kill you, let the church help you." Instead it says "Dont let worries kill you, let the church help. (as in help kill you)
