  • She'll live forever

  • This is my most favorite scene in the entire movie. The way he looks at her and then goes to kiss her without even caring what people think just makes me melt

  • Just finished watching this. God I loved it. It was amazing. Marilyn Monroe is a beautiful singer totally worth watching. <3

  • "Beinstock!!!"

  • How can 8 people dislike this.. it's beautiful.

  • Sing it Marilyn! I love this song! And AMEN to 2:10 "No guy is worth it!"

  • kissed a girl and i liked it ....

    lol

  • I so love this movie I also watched theatre play :) also I big fan of Marilyn Monroe, she sang this song perfectly :)

  • lol she thought she kissed a girl! I'm a lesbian! hahaha

  • Happy Birthday, dear Marilyn... Norma!

  • RIP Tony,wonderful actor.

  • i hate this garnier commercial OMG....

  • she kissed him before realizing who it was LOL

  • love this movie, ADORE this scene. i'm not originally from this time but i loveeeee black & white movies. especially marilyn's. this is actually my favorite movie.

  • This song must have been really hard for her to sing as she was on and off relationships all the time , true beauty btw :)

  • an older gentlemen friend of mine said when he saw Marilyn Monroe when he was young...it was breathtaking how beautiful and sweet she was, she carried a lot of class, anyone who says otherwise is blind, dumb and crazy

  • and so I'm through with love

  • @hellagood7 It is her singing all right. She was dubbed on some high notes at some point, but here it is her!

  • @NeverGetOld2009 - hey nevergetold - thanks ! It is her of course. Singing is not always about perfection, but also about style and originality. I like to think is sounds so genuine as there was so much sadness in her life. She knew how to bring the lyrics (unfortunately). She sounds like a real person here, no acting. Here it is not the comic lady girl cliche singing that she always portrayed so well in her movies.

  • @zenobiaelissa Nicely put. Behind all that glamour there was a woman struggling to find love.

  • @NeverGetOld2009

The sad part was during the filming of Some Like It Hot she miscarried and lost her baby.

After this happened she was never the same and never could have children.

Sad that upon her death Joe Dimaggio sent flowers to her grave everyday right up to his death.

I have been to the hotel del in Coranado and it's sad when you see all the places from the movie are changed now.

  • Touching and credible. Everything in particular was wrong with MM...so many reasons why she shouldn't have sung, been a star, etc. No voice really, bordered on fat, didn't tackle significant acting roles. But somehow the whole package tends to become irresistible, doesn't it? She shows women what it should feel like to be a woman, and she shows men a softness and vulnerability they don't often see.

  • Marilyn Monroe is a real diva!!!

  • She was really beautiful and sang very well

  • The saddest marilyn's song, perhaps showing her real feelings at the moment.

This song makes me feel sad and happy at the same time.. songs back then was way better than nowadays.

  • (spoiler alert... sorry...) OMG, I LOVE this scene! I melt every time "Josephine" is staring at Sugar. I think this is the moment "he" realizes that he truly loves her. And then when "he" kisses her? Sigh.... I used to think that when she says "Josephine?" that she was just... "not very bright" (for lack of a better phrase), but now I think this is the moment that she realizes that she is loved. Thanks SO much for posting this!

  • the best ...the greatest...nobody could be compared to u...!

  • I always thought her voice was quite exquisite. I'm surprised she wasn't as big a music star as she was an actress. But that might be because they always dressed her up like a hooker. And porn wasn't legal in the USA in those days.

  • i love this movie and song

  • Very sweet song Marylin at her best.

  • SPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERS

I remember seeing this at my school's film club a couple of years ago and I loved every minute of it and Marilyn Monroe...oh, one of the most glowing, sweet, charming presenses there ever was. And the moment, she starts crying, you just want to put your arms around her and say, "there, there sweety, Tony Curtis hasn't left you, he's right there in the dress".

  • I love M.M. in 50's. I don¨t like her much in 60¨s. However she was a great singer!

  • Who would give this a thumbs down? A Marilyn wanna b? Forget it, there was only one.

  • Loved Marilyn Monroe, The Movie, the actors. Her gown and the fun watching the movie. She had it all, but never knew it, oh what a shame. I play this song over, and over, and will never tire of her. When I'm blue, this is my crying song. So sultry of a woman, never to be duplicated!!!! There will alway's be only 1 Marilyn.

  • Loved Marilyn Monroe, The Movie, the actors. Her gown and the fun watching the movie

  • Marilyn was underestimated in general...as a singer, as an actress...everyone had her as the hot bimbo, men wanted to "do" her, women were jelouse nd thought she was below them...even then and even now. but in truth she was a great singer nd a very tallented actress nd that's how we should remember her...

  • such a classic

  • oh my god.... i knew that song, but i didn't know about the drama... oww, she seemed so heartbroken

  • I filled my heart with icy frigid air...

  • god, i love that woman.

  • quant'è bella

  • Love this movie

    Love the song

  • so beutiful song!

  • Even in black and white, Marilyn Monroe has a glow to her.

  • @xxhypedipodxx TRUE, she glowed anyway but when shooting this movie she was pregnant...she was so happy

  • Oomgsh marilyn<33 sOoSo amaazing . i<3 this movie ! r.i.p beautiful <33

  • this song is so biographical of what she went through in her life, i think because of what she went through that this came out so convincing. marilyn was magic, the defitinition of magic. and i LOVE at 2:02, BEANSTALK! hilarious!

  • My Favorite Marilyn´s song... It´s so touching and sweet...

  • This is a song that can best reflect the real Norma Jean.

Such a beautiful and so painful at the same time ..

  • great movie

  • Marilyn Monroe was as Billy WIlder once said, a genius on camera, second he felt only to Garbo. She to me is the greatest star of all time. When one sees her performance in this comedic masterpiece, along with her performances

in Bus Stop, The Misfits, reveal an artist of the first rank. What an Actress, What a Star, What a Woman,

  • lol was she fat?

  • @55xxSwEeTxmExx55 Is her weight funny to you? One of the other comments says she was pregnant.

I think she looks amazing. Girls today are brainwashed into starving themselves until they weigh no more than Marilyn's finger and it does no good for their inner or outer beauty. Of course I don't know much about MM, but it seems to me that throughout her career, this woman rocked every inch of her figure no matter how big or small the dress size.

  • @detectmendacity wtf i never said her wait was funny -_- i was just asking if she was. I think she was beautiful with her curvy body. i mean come on, SHE STILL IS AND WAS A SEX ICONN. And i completely agree with you. wtf is up with this skinnyasshit disorder? D: Marylin Monroe was so classy, the girls these days are completely trashy .

  • @55xxSwEeTxmExx55 Well you said "lol" and I guess you didn't mean it the way I understood.

    I'm sorry. :)

  • My favourite scene. Marilyn is gorgeous...

  • Tony Curtis said that kissing thee Marilyn Monroe was like kissing Hitler. He didn't admit that he was only joking until years and years after her death.

  • most people dont know this but MM also had a pretty intense stutter. She sang slow and combined words to smooth her words out them out. I also stutter and I go to a pathologist who showed us an actual video of her being caught off guard and stuttering like crazy, makes me feel proud to have the same ailment she did :)

  • I thought the person she kissed was a middle-aged woman!

    O . O Oops...

  • Her appearance at the Photoplay awards dinner in a skin-tight gold lamé dress was criticized.

  • It's wonderfull (L) :-)

  • I love this, it makes me tear up.

  • love this song, film and MARILYN!

  • I like her dress here. No malice intended. I want a dress like that too :).

  • Perfect scene. Very hot! Billy Wilder and Marilyn, together, were greats!

  • she's bloody hot !!

  • I'm currently reading 'The Secret Life Of Marilyn Monroe' please read this book...great read

I'm currently going through a divorce...the part in the bathroom scene about her always getting the fuzzy end of the lollipop..that is how i feel...

  • Best quote in the movie. :)

  • @vleecrittendon Good luck to you through these tough times and I hear you, I can relate as well...

  • easily one of my favorite movies of all time. i always watch it when i'm having a bad day or when i just want to relax. it's the perfect combination of action, comedy, and romance. it just doesn't get better.

  • probably the best comedy ever

  • ha good movie great song

  • great movie, but i think it kind-a sucks that tony said: "to kiss marilyn monroe, was like to have to kiss hitler!" that was SO mean said, and that makes the kemi in the movie. well---

  • I love this scene so much.I am personally huge fan of her that MM you always live in my heart.

  • She will always be very missed...

  • This is my favourite Marilyn scene of all. The song, her voice and expression... I well up every time.

She's a sort of beauty that isn't cold or unearthly. Marilyn is more like a really beautiful cupcake. She just looks inviting. You just want to dig in. You just want to touch her!

It's a combination of cute and absurdly beautiful that is very rare... Most people who are considered beautiful look strangely cold, mean and hollow to me. They look much rather like manequins...

  • @LisaPirouette he that about "some like it hot" you look at this film

  • @LisaPirouette check out Jane Monheit.. She also is a "WARM" incredibly beautiful INVITING sexy woman

  • @LisaPirouette dude you copied that from a book..i read that book too!

  • Marilyn Monroe was underestimated as I singer. Lover her sultry casual style, and phrasing. She was a great jazz singer

  • She's the cutest of them all and voluptuous without losing the glamor and the impression that she is always in need of love.

  • She is something special. Her big changes was becoming blonde and make-up, but she is a natural beauty to me. She did not have that much done like today's actresses. There are many people that make "changes" and they still don't have the magic that Monroe has. She was one of a kind.

  • I can't be more agree with you

  • Go back and check some of her early modeling pictures. She wasn't gorgeous, but she was very pretty in a girl-next-door style. She perfected a few things--like lightening her hair--and became poof! Divine.

  • Hairline, nose, and besides when she got older she looked much more feminine than she was...

It's like she looks nothing like Norma Jean but Norma Jean shines inside...it's hard to explain, but that's how I see it.

  • oh shut it all of you she's just born pretty, accept it

  • HAHAHA, I know! I thought she was beautiful from the get-go; from her early modelling pictures until her last film she was divine!

  • 1:50 i was NOT expecting that from a classic movie!

  • J'adore ce film. Le meilleur de Monroe.

  • CALL IT OFF...........

  • you just can't take your eyes off marilyn monroe!

  • I love russuain translator's voice - it's deep and pleasant) a man's voice)

  • Everyone has and had since Marilyn platsic surgery, but it doesnt matter.. cause shes a LEGEND!

  • I love this song

  • marilyn is natural beauty..whithout surgery....I love this song is my fav

  • without surgery??? hahaha she DID do many surgeries!!!! read about it.

  • This is my life story!

  • She is divine!

  • I am a sixth form college student and yesterday I had my heart broken by an access student who was leaving and said she couldn't continue to keep in touch with me when she's gone because she's too busy. I tried too hard to make friends and now I will have find new friends and try to forget her. Maybe there's a good reason why the teenage students don't generally talk to the adult students. Now I feel like a cat that has been ditched by its owner.

  • heart break is never fun. Feeling like a ditched cat is a pretty iscolated feeling. I hope you find comfort in the good thats in your life that you've gotta find. There's no point in trying to forget someone who brought any good into your life but try not to dwell too much on the bad.

    "This too shall pass"

  • Thank you alekaxrequiem, it is kind of you to say that. It's good to know that there are some nice people on the Internet and not just horrible ones who send nasty messages. Maybe I will make new friends and I already have made friends with a nice boy from the next-door college who was looking out for me when I was upset about my other friend leaving. Did you look up this because you just like the song or have you suffered from getting overly attached to something or someone too?

  • Both,

I'm doing some acting research for a character. I love the song as well. It has a lot of emotional depth. I think everyone at some point in their lives have their own degrees of suffering due to over attachment.

I love falling in love. It's too beautiful to not be open to it. I'm glad things are on their way up for you sweetheart.

  • Well actually I've been going through an I-hate-romance phase throughout the last few months. I think love is a beautiful thing, but not if it's romantic or sexual. I cover my eyes like a twelve-year-old lad at the sight of people kissing on the lips. I do try hard to make friends though, and as it's my 18th birthday in September I'll probably be going out for the day with my family and I'm looking for a friend to invite too.

  • I must have been going a bit bonkers while I was writing that previous message, because my birthday is in October, not September! How foolish of me to mix up the month of my own birthday! September is the month I start back at college, not my birthday month, that's probably how I mixed it up.

  • How stupid.... no one can be too busy to keep in touch with someone, there is Internet, mobiles, Twitter, Facebook...! This person is not worth it. You will find Real Friends...

  • yeah thats right no giy is worth it yeah it hurts for a while but in the end we all become stronger people

  • Does anybody know about any plastic surgeries she did ?!! I think she never did any! But I read somewhere that she did ?! I need to know the right thing about that guys..

  • nose surgery, thinner eyebrowns, and a radical change of haircolour and styling. I don´t know if theres somenthing else...

  • i think you missed tooth caps, chin implant, and possible even eye surgery. but i don't completely know about the eye one.

  • yeah, but why did people give me minus points? they dont wanna see the reality: she DID DO surgery, she was not that perfect, she did have many things to change.

  • I have no idea, I guess they want to believe she's perfect, which isn't true obviously

  • no. because surgery is not the point. hahaha!

  • The point is that she's still a legend, but she's not a natural beauty

  • i think it's her character and the scandals she's been through that made her a legend. There are so many natural beauties during those times whose names can't be remembered. She's beautiful. natural or not, i think has little to do with the impact she left in the industry.

  • That's true. But she's also a legend because she was very different. Her voice, her look, the way she moved. It was different than what most actresses did, so I also think that's why she's a legend.

  • because her beauty never was only in her body.

It was a legend because of her soul under that beautiful moving body.

So surgery is really not the point.

  • Sorry, no caps. Those perfect choppers were hers. Look at the early modeling pics. She had a crooked tooth on the bottom row, which was later corrected (and then she felt comfortable with the big, famous smile) She was a naturally pretty girl--she HAD to be, to become a model. So whatever she had done, it was perfecting what was already quite attractive. And I can't think of a glamour girl who didn't undergo some "procedure" leading up to stardom. That how it was and is today.

  • I know, a lot of people in hollywood have gotten plastic surgery. All I'm saying is that she wasn't born that pretty

  • And all I'm saying is that she was pretty enough to have been photographed at a factory and then recommended to a modeling agency, which snapped her up at once. She was just pretty, but had that "little something extra" most others didn't. She is the only star whose beauty is so dissected and torn down, which I guess is in itself a compliment! One way or another, she is still being talked about--amazing.

  • I know what she's singing about....years and years of search...giving all you've got and being kicked to the curb over and over again...I'm through with love myself.

  • i feel you man-i love you

  • oh, beautiful song like herself...

  • That's how I feel about the fact of life that people come and go. I have Asperger's and often I find change upsetting, particularly sudden unexpected news like I've had twice today that often results in dizziness and feeling faint. I should be used to it by now, and I should just not get attached to people and move on with the dignity of a cat.

  • From the funniest comedy ever!! Monroe at the height of her career . . . and MM was "STACKED" in this movie. When I first this movie as I kid, I could not get over how big her bust was!!!! Thanks much.

  • True, she was never more bosomy. She was pregnant during the filming of "Hot." And there is a scene where she lays down on a bed in a loose kimono where you can truly tell she is expecting! Unfortunately she miscarried.

  • waif55, I know exactly what scene you are referring to . . . after her "date" with Curtis on the boat . . . when she returns to tell "the girls" of her romantic evening.

  • love 1:23, what she does with her voice is amazing

  • Marilyn's singing + Tony Curtis' expression=PERFECT:>

  • Marilyn Monroe = Perfection.

Love this movie and song <3

  • I feel this song right now, because my heart is breaking as I write this. My friend told me that he was in love with me last saturday and now he is acting like he's too busy for me. (Crying)

  • Oh honey I feel so bad for you! if you need anyone to listen to you you can always send me a message, K. don't cry!! I know how it feels to have a friend tell you that they are in love with you, i've had it happen before.

  • Listen to Tony: "No guy's worth it ". And double for this guy it seems. So best to move on and you're sure to have a happy ending, just like the one in this film !

  • You are so right. i guess I have to.

  • Frak him, don't give him the satisfaction.

  • I am better now. I am a fan of Motley Crue also and ;) what would Nikki do..? Party!!

  • That moment when he kisses her in front of everyone... pure magic.

    "BIENSTOCK!"

  • Oh, and btw, this is the song that Mary Jane sings at the end of Spider man 3

  • Agreed, she's GORGEOUS, and I don't use that word a lot, either. i heart her.

  • Is she sitting on a piano??

  • She's so beautiful...

  • I love how you posted the whole scene in this video, and not just the song.

  • I'm glad to heard that. I will add more videos of Marilyn soon!
