  • Yess! It is in true sense a best of the best Tarana ever heard by me so far in the history of my 50 years of listening to Indian classical music. It was a great pleasure listening to the recorded version of 1963 live concert played in Hyderabd.

  • it's not possible for a human being :'(

  • Ab is ko copy karo to manoo tum ko singer

  • The improvisation and creativity.. is really inspiring ..

Never knew that such caliber and status.. could sound so natural to my ears..

    true artists

  • Brilliant! Brillaint! Brilliant!!!!! Wah wah!!!!

  • amazzzzing. the speed and the pitch level is very very amazing. Even parween sultana is nothing in front of them. Its lovely.

  • Almost hypnotized !this is fourth time I have repeated this tarana, as dirt is washed with water ,alike sachchay surr wash the dirt of the soul,.....Wah Khansahib,!! may your soul rest in peace in the heavens...aapki rooh ko KHUDA jaza day....purified my soul..

  • Great !!.....Khan Sahab Salamat Ali Khan Sahab!! The ever greatest vocalist and rhythmist ,I believe that could sing any thing. It is hard to express that I am feeling ....He never tried to sing, the flux of fluency is spontaneous....

  • By whom was this composition composed?

  • @KumarTabla It was written and composed originally by Hazrat Amir Khusro (alairehma)

  • @KumarTabla It was written and composed originally by Hazrat Amir Khusro (alairehma) its in persian.

  • @coronation76 I see. Thank you. I have noticed that many singers have sung it and that is why I asked the question. Thank you.

  • @KumarTabla You are welcome, I just found this on youtube, have a listen

  • how on earth could they sing so fast still retain their dexterous control of voice to show all the facets of this difficult raag, they definitely set the bar way too high.

  • Wow! Never heard this before. I hope someone upload the 2nd part of their Darbari. That is also a classic by itself. I was lucky to see them at the Senior Art Festival in Calcutta at the Park Circus Maidan in 1956 when they were teen agers and everyone knew that they will be on the top one day. Unfortunately Pakistanis has little respect for these great musicians of all times.

  • Its an original recording, recorded in1963

  • Has this clip been speeded up, or was the original really this fast? Considering the lyrics, it seems too fast.

  • i agree. it's still an incredible recording!

  • yaar-e-man baya baya

what tabla sangat by Sheikh Dawood.

It is ghazab ka Darbari taranah

de re na dhoon tanannanan dhoom

    tan na nanooonoon

  • This is the highest points u can ever reach in this ocean of darbari. This is the absloute final. This is the greatest.

  • khatam yaar ...kia baat hai//

  • Wonderful, simply wonderfull.

  • Darbari tarana of the highest calibre, is typically as with most of the other pieces of this unique duo, in a league of its own. They've surely cemented their place in the halls of classical music fame as the most explosive and dynamic duo ever to grace the classical stage...
