I know this has nothing to do with the subject of the video, but: when you listen to someone speaking a language related to your own you can really hear how languages diverged just by people saying things in slightly different ways over time. I mean there are parts where it _almost_ sounds like he's just speaking English with an accent. I think that's neat.
It is so wonderful to hear these instruments. I was recently in Vienna and there were hundreds of recorders and other renaissance and baroque instruments just in cases in a museum. They are beautiful, to be sure, but meant to be played.
Hello, what about Bass recorders? I just got one and will be playing at an esemble, but have some trouble with the posture, mi right hand gets really tired and have some difficulties with the fingerings. I'll appreciatte any advice in the subject. Thanks!.
Thank you for this very interesting video. I really appreciate beautifully made recorders. I play a Dolmetsch tenor in C hand-made of Grenadilla circa 1948. It really resonates. I can imagine how wonderful it is to play recorders made in the 18th century!
Very interesting. I always hated recorder somehow (even if I played one myself when I was young), but this interesting demonstration is going to change my mind!!!
Beautiful sound!!! (maybe it depends on the player, hahahaha!)
You should post this as a video response to one of my Telemann videos. Even though I play a contemporary flute I think my viewers would find this interesting.

Lovely video, regardless.

This is a wonderful way to spen 3 minutes. I want a recorder in Eb now. it sounded wonderful. Why didn't you play the Hotteterre?
Who are you by the way? Do you have CDs - are you a teacher? In what school?
Thanks

It is Dutch

Not Afrikaans, although some words are pretty similar. Afrikaans comes from Dutch, mainly, so I think it's probably Dutch. Yes?

Very interesting, thank you. I've just started learning the tenor recorder, the tone you produce is beautiful, I love it.

Wat ben ik toch dol op dit soort programma's!
Ook al ben ik een rocker en een gitarist.
