I heard that you should find a dead house cat. Like on the side of the road. Put it in a bin or container bury it in the ground and put some dirt in the container. Let the cat ferment and put the remains in your trap and you will have a cougar or bobcat in your trap faster than you know it.

get yourself an AM BULLDOG. we live right behind Ocala national forest in central florida. we had a bobcat break into our chicken coop an our 120lb A.B. got ahold of it and killed it(and it was a good sized bobcat 38lb.) he was scratched up but nothing bad. he bit into that cat so hard he broke ribs !!!

Thank you for relocating it rather than shooting it! I hope she is now somewhere safe and where she can't harm domesticated animals anymore. To the people who want to shoot these animals: It is their instinct to kill birds and other small animals. They often do it for food. They are wild animals and it is just their nature. They don't deserve to die for it. I can understand if you catch it in the act of trying to attack a beloved pet or a human. But don't kill just for the sake of kiling.

You obviously don't understand that bobcats can become quite a nuisance. I lost some of my favorite chickens due to these predators. One hen used to hop in my truck and go for rides with me. A Bobcat got her one day. I eventually trapped the bobcat and put a bullet in his head.
