Yeah if i can't get a hold of a vox continental i'm definitely getting a nord! i have a nice sounding sim on my computer but it cant handle me playing very fast on the controller and it will freeze with a note playing lol. theres also latency so yeah definitely replacing with nord
more cheap simulator is midi controller and a computer.you can you some porgrams like kontaket 4(it has many voices bit after you get the program you must get librarys too like "vintage organs") or minimonta(its minimoog simulator)
Dude... when you make a video titled "HOW TO USE keyboard simulators", you might want to spend a few seconds talking about HOW TO USE THEM. You hit your drawbar buttons and the lights go up and down, but you don't talk about HOW TO USE drawbars when playing organ. You show it has a leslie sim... then don't mention HOW ONE WOULD USE IT in a musical context. You sholud have titled the video "LOOK AT MY COOL KEYBOARDS".
I don't need to "experiment" with drawbars. I know exactly how they work, because I have been using them for 30 years on everything from REAL hammonds to the cheezy 'fake' organ wanna-bees like yours. Like I said, if you are going to make "how to" videos, you may wanna put a little "how to" in them instead of just blabbing because you love the sound that comes out of the hole in your face.
@CaptainBodder Ahhh... You don't "have an organ at all". That would explain a lot. BTW, how would you characterize your latest post? Would you call it a "paragraph complaint"? It seems like a good full paragraph to me. Can you write another paragraph complaint which complains about people who write paragraph complaints?
This video is all right, and it's pretty much - to each their own. However, I use a Korg I2 and a Korg G-4 Leslie Emulator. I'm quite happy with my setup.
@NomisGSR As I understand, the point of this video is actually what Craig says at the end: "once you understand how the sounds come from the real instrument it makes it a lot easier to simulate the sounds".
It would be pointless for him to go on and on talking about his drawbar setup, how to set the leslie on the Nord, etc. The thing is hear a lot of music, familiarize with the real instrument and have the sounds ready on your head, so that you can make the simulator have your personal touch.
I'm NordElectro2 owner and I can say that it has beautiful hammond emulation, beautiful acoustic pianos from NordStage, rhodes absolutely fantastic, great effects panel...
See other videos with Nord Electro!
This is bad example, I'm sure. This guy don't know about what he talk...
The nord doesn't do it for me. Thanks for the video, though, I always wondered about the nord. The only sound that was close was the hammond emulation.

maybe you shouldn't waste your time writing paragraph complaints and get onto experimenting with drawbars

@MagicHole dude, i didn't make this video, and i don't have an organ at all because i'm poor and i don't play organs. nice try, though.
but i am pointing out how instead of spending time with the complaint, you could make your own if it pisses you off so much.
nice vids by the way.

@MagicHole if you would like, sir. i can. but you are incorrect. it was a full two sentences plus a compliment that you apparently rejected.

@NomisGSR That's expert village for ya.
You must have seen the vid of some guy explaining 5/4 time using a 4/4 example?

He is like: "Yeah, this is what I've been looking for since high school. It basically has all the sounds I want built into it!"
Then he comes up with a piano sound that sounds like some Toy Piano sound - half organ, half piano...
And after he goes: "Yeah, this is, uhm, Rhodes sound, and... uh, well, it isn't really like that but pretty close."
Is actually speaking against himself? ;)

Korg Oasis, Kurzweil K2600 can do anything you'd ever want. Check out Jordan Rudess. That should be enough proof.
