The religious right will do anything to keep hold of the Republican party. They are not true conservatives and no law, not even the constitution, matters more than the tenets of scripture.

True American conservatives follow the American Constitution. Ron Paul is a true conservative, while the other GOP candidates pay lip service to the Constitution. The GOP establishment is scared of the intellectual revolution that is the Ron Paul revolution. Ron Paul's percentage vote count from 2008 to 2012 has increased about three times and the neo-con/etc. establishment acknowledges that a non-Ron-Paul GOP nominee cannot win against Obama without Ron Paul's supporters.
