line 6? its like, we're gonna put all the elements of the basic good amplifiers and put them in one. Nice concept except it doesn't work.

It does work, but not with all guitars, it often makes the sound very thin, almost no real bass to be found..

But thats my opinion.

i know exactly what you mean. some guitars using a line 6 kinda get washed out tone wise. i bought the line6 spider II just cause i found the spider III to kinda do that a lot. spider II for me is a great practice amp. i mean, i'm not recording any kind of professional records or anything, so for me its all i could want at the moment really. but yes, i see your point.

Friend of mine uses spider 2 also, and it sounds alot better then the 3rd but still, if you're gonne perform on stage, better buy epiphone amps or marshall. Yes they are expensive but they last for years without losing the volume!

Well I have a Spider 3 and I think it's a good amp for the price and it sounds pretty good (Not as bad as everyone says) I mean it's not the the best amp in the world, there are better amps out there (Marshall, Peavey,Mesa Boogie, Fender,etc.) but I mean for what you're paying yeah there good.
