  • Jerry plays Apache & Manchurian Beat, it's so good.

He is playing so nice !

    彼が使用している白いギターはフェンダーでしょうか ?

    音がいいですね。とても素敵です !

  • Ventures on 78rpm? More likely a 33.

But she did like my 10 inch record (78).

  • The arguments over who's better will never stop I kmow. Whatever yiu think not many would ever dispute the lasting greatness of the Ventures.

Mel was my all time favorite drummer.

And the Mosrites were long gone because Semie Mosely stiffed the Ventures LOTS of money he owed them in endorsement money. The original Mosrite company went bankrupt because Semie Mosely made nice (if quirky) guitars but even selling them for a lot more than Fenders he lost money.

  • @carvindc160 of course they are good but the shadows are excellent. They have made a tour 2 years ago with Cliff Richard and they play better than in the sixties. Brian Bennett is also a terrific drummer and Hank Marvin is an absolutely amazing guitarist who had invented a specific sound in 1958

  • Bob Bogel (sp?) was the sound of the early Ventures.

  • @spacestate Bob ended up being the #3 guitarist after Nokie and Gerry. Name any other band with a #3 player this good. Bob's clean tones of a Fender Jazzmaster are among my favorite guitar sounds ever. You don't get that kind of finesse plugging a Les Paul into a Marshall amp turned all the way up.

  • they eem to seed up in the first minute...

  • I wish he were playing his mosrite bass!

  • Maestros !

  • LOVE IT MAN! doesn't get any better! thx!

  • the shadows have a better sound than the ventures. But it's a great band.

  • @The170460 The shadows were COPYING the ventures.

  • @gittahfiend absolutely not. The band was formed before the emergence of the ventures in 1959 for their first song walk don't run. The shadows were formed in 1958 under the name of the Drifters.and backed cliff richard on stage and records.

  • @The170460 no way...look at the quality and technical skills of the Ventures and Shadows...shadows are great also...but listening both of them for an hour, the shadows start to be boring.

  • @ponjebach i can't agree with you. The ventures played the same thing from 1959. They were great but they never found international fame.

  • @The170460 it's not so important how big their fame is...absolutely not as great as Brithney Spears :) TEchnically as guitarists they are beyond the level of Shadows and also much more inventive(rhythm guitar)...they have more influence on famous guitarists as shadows, that's for sure. Cheers!

  • @ponjebach I can't agree, Bruce Welch is a more versatile and fine rythm guitarist than Don Wilson, and Bruce was a prolific song writer. I don't were you live but in Europe only one instrumental band had an influence on rock music it's the Shadows not the Ventures who were really unknow in the sixties in europe.

  • @The170460 naw,the ventures are beyond the shadows even in europe.

  • @ponjebach britney is shit.shit.

nobody will remember any of her songs 20 years later.

can u imagine anyone whistling "oops i did it again" in 2030?

  • @The170460 yeah,thats why they're known internationally,and had international hits,for years.

  • @bobo007xx sorry but listen to the shadows version of Apache it's really far better and more inventive.

  • @The170460 Find the live version they made with Peter Frampton and Nokie Edwards trading leads and playing in harmony. Then say the Shadows are far better.

Good as he is Gerry's playing doesn't have the same energy.

The band's best stuff probably came in the mid 60s. Everybody ages and we're talking about rock 'n roll here.
